On the 19th of August 2023 members of the XPS Solutions team will be taking part in a 70K ‘Office to Office’ bike ride, passing each of our 3 main office locations in aid of Candlelighters Children’s Cancer Charity, who support families facing children's cancer in Yorkshire.  Childhood and cancer are two words that should never go together. But children’s cancer rates are going up, not down.  Every day in the UK 10 children or young people are diagnosed with cancer. While cancer is rare in children and young people, there are around 3,755 young people diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK. That’s 1,645 in children (aged 0-14 years) and 2,110 in teenagers and young adults (aged 15-24 years).  There is still time to to sponsor us as we take part in our 70K ‘Office to Office’ bike ride in aid of this amazing charity and the work they do to support families facing children's cancer.  Donations can be made Here or at  https://lnkd.in/e65QDa7h  Every single donation made will help this amazing charity bring light and hope to the families of children suffering from cancer 💜

Here we go...AGAIN! I'm running, once again, as a St. Jude Hero in the 2024 St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend. This is the 11th year I have chosen to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the kids and their families at St. Jude. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation help, we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps to find a cure for childhood cancer. #hope & #support Recently one of my oldest, dearest and an absolute legend of a human & friend Vanja Wilson has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Unfortunately, there is no screening for this cancer (yet!) and symptoms are rare, so detection is usually very/too late. A Personal Journey in the Fight Against Cancer $66,000 Raised with a target of $100,000 The fight against cancer is more than just a cause; for some, like me, it's a deeply personal journey. Having lost both my parents to this ruthless disease, my father recently and my mother when I was just 12, I've felt the sting of cancer's reach within my own family. It's a pain that's sadly familiar to many, a shared experience in a battle that spares no one based on background or status. Cancer brings with it not only physical suffering but emotional turmoil. It's a journey fraught with challenges, not just for those who are diagnosed but for their loved ones as well. My commitment to fundraising and the fight against cancer stems from an intimate understanding of this pain and loss. However, in the midst of this struggle, there's an enduring sense of hope and resilience. It's crucial to celebrate the victories, no matter how small.
