I’m back from a three-year LinkedIn hiatus! The past few years have been incredibly busy. Like the rest of the world, the pandemic forced us all to pause and take stock of the moments that matter, so I thought it might be fitting to return with a post that highlights a Delta tradition that means a lot to so many. This week, we hosted our annual Delta Jet Drag that raises money to support the great work the American Cancer Society is doing to fund cancer research and provide critical resources to those battling cancer. There are a lot of ways to host a fundraiser but none more memorable than pulling an aircraft alongside your colleagues and friends. While the competition is always fun to watch, Delta people raised more than $1.3M to help those in the fight against cancer. Together, we pull in hopes that one day no one is impacted by this disease. To all the caregivers, you are seen and appreciated and to those currently battling cancer, keep fighting! The Delta family is behind you and cheering you on every step of the way. If you want to donate, consider visiting Delta’s American Cancer Jet Drag page. Donations are still being accepted. Let’s put an end to cancer once and for all. https://lnkd.in/eypqptV3 P.S. For those wondering if I pulled a jet, you bet I did! In fact I pulled twice. 💪🏻
We are glad to have you back, both LinkedIn and TechOps. Thanks for pulling with us this year.
Impressive to see - and read - this, John! And, with the SafeAmerica Foundation's great history with Delta and former CEO Leo Mullins and EVP Mac Armstrong and Vice President John Marshall, we developed good work globally... through WorldSafe. If interested, I'd love to chat... as we're doing work for UCare in Ukraine. And, love to help people 'fly in' to the U.S. Again, congratulations. And, know we're also doing impressive work for American veterans... and having them transporting to medical care, also. (you can call me at (770)-509-7958)
Welcome back to LinkedIn! You haven’t changed one bit from our days back in Planning and Scheduling! So incredibly Proud of your accomplishments at Delta and glad to see that you are back at TechOps!
Great to see you out here again my friend - hope all is well…great work with the plane pull, for a terrific cause.
Looking good my friend! Thank you for your leadership with building everyone into the plan rather than adding us later! Look forward to seeing you at the next meeting. Great job with the fundraising effort! Years ago, my cross disability "relay for life" team raised $85,000… As a community, we can do great things together.
It’s so awesome to see our leaders participating in this great cause!
Good to hear from you again! Glad you are well. Brings back fond memories of the jet drag. I’m sure I have a t-shirt buried in a drawer somewhere. ✈️
Welcome back! Great to see you here!!
