This September I’m heading off for my second epic ‘Ride Across Britain’ challenge from Land’s End to John O’Groats, - a total of 980 miles across our beautiful and scenic countryside through England, Wales and Scotland, so just over 100 miles each day and in the saddle for 9 days! I still have plenty of training to complete but my goal remains to take this day by day, get up each hill, complete each of the 9 stages, - avoid the infamous ‘broom wagon’ that follows behind sweeping up riders with mechanicals, injuries, or those out of puff! Once again I am fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support which does fantastic work across our communities, supporting those living with cancer and their families. Mindful times are challenging for many, I shall be very appreciative for any and all donations which can be made using the link below. https://lnkd.in/eNyUs8hF Thank you in advance for your support and good wishes and for any donations you can offer to this great cause. #rideacrossbritain #macmillancancersupport

Hey my lovely LinkedIn Network, I can't believe I've surpassed $1,500 already, this was more than I would have hoped for! I want to thank everyone who has donated thus far. It has meant a lot to me and more importantly, it's helping improve the outcomes of thousands of Children worldwide (not just LA!). I'm shooting for $2,000 by July 21st (currently 83% of goal) and I know you can all help me reach it! We got 3 weeks to go until the big race, but it's never too late to make $1, $5, $10, or even $25 donation! Anything helps: https://lnkd.in/gu7cUwBj Last, but not least, I finally stacked my events together during my workouts, so these times include the collective pain & suffering. My biggest improvement has been swimming where I've seen almost 1:20 100m times. I believe simulating the actual race day along with open-ocean swims 2x per week will help me meet or exceed my benchmarks. Swim 750m: 15 minutes vs. 22 minute | Benchmark: 15 minutes Run 5K: 38 minutes vs. 32 previous | Benchmark: 30 minutes Bike 12K: 26 minutes vs. 28 previous | Benchmark: 40 minutes Overall: 79 minutes vs. 82 previous | Benchmark: 90 minutes Stay tuned for more updates!

I have taken up the Steptember Challenge along with my team members Arun Kumar Ravindranath, Winnie S., and Magnus Bradley, a month-long initiative to raise funds and awareness for an incredible cause. The challenge involves walking 300,000 steps throughout September, and I'm thrilled to share that I'm already at 200,000 steps on the 10th day! However, what truly makes this journey fulfilling is the support and encouragement I receive from wonderful individuals like you within my network. The Steptember Challenge aims to improve the lives of people living with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects millions of individuals worldwide. By participating in this challenge, I am committed to raising funds that will make a difference in the lives of those who face daily challenges due to cerebral palsy. The funds raised go towards vital resources, assistive equipment, therapy programs, and support services that enable individuals with cerebral palsy to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. But I can't do this alone. I invite you to join me on this journey by extending your support to this cause. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will have a significant impact and help us create positive change. Together, we can empower individuals with cerebral palsy, providing them with opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential. Here's how you can support: 1. Donate: Please consider making a donation towards my Steptember Challenge. Your generosity will directly benefit those in need and bring us one step closer to our fundraising goal. https://lnkd.in/gV6qp53u 2. Share: Spread the word about the Steptember Challenge within your network. Share my fundraising page or this message along with a few words of your own, encouraging others to support this cause. Together, we can reach more people and make a greater impact. 3. Cheer: Your words of encouragement mean the world to me. A simple message or comment on my posts about the challenge will go a long way in motivating me to keep pushing forward. Let's walk this journey together, step by step, and create a world where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity. #inclusion #steptember #steptemberchallenge

*Hello Connections,* I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share a difficult situation my family is currently facing. My mother, Sarita Devi, has been suffering from a severe spine injury and doctors have advised her to undergo immediate surgery. Unfortunately, our family was hit with another blow when my mother accidentally slipped on the stairs and sustained critical injuries. We have already *paid 3.5 lakh* towards the medical expenses, but we *still need 4 lakh more* to cover the remaining costs. This has put our family in both emotional and financial trauma, as my mother's pain is unbearable to watch. I am humbly requesting your help in raising funds for my mother's surgery. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and will go towards helping my mother heal and recover. *Donation link:* https://lnkd.in/dUxPBiVv #fundraiser #help #support #kindness #Impactguru #fundraising #extendhelp #charity #humanity #connections #people #donations#ICU#help#pain#mother#painfree#illness#painfree#spreadkindness#spreadhappiness#beinghuman#heart#brain#wife#spreadhappiness#behope#givehope#bekind##beinghuman#heart#behope#givehope#bekind#urgent#trending#beahope#helpus#cbfr#healing#trending

Clinical Applications Specialist, Diagnostic Equipment at Interacoustics; Podcast Host at This Week in Hearing
Starting off this Monday morning and week with some exciting news! At least it's exciting to me...🥳🤩 Jason Hughes and I are running ANOTHER marathon for charity🏃♀️🏃♂️ You know the drill, new race = new organization to raise funds and awareness for. This time around, we're running and raising funds for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment👩🏾⚕️ Additionally, no child is denied treatment from St. Jude based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay. For these reasons, we’ve chosen to fundraise for St. Jude. This cause is very important to both of us; we have friends and family whose lives were drastically improved thanks to the ongoing work of St. Jude❤️🩹 We know that with the research and treatments they provide, that is likely true for you, as well. We're encouraged by the support we've already received, and we still need help reaching our total fundraising goal of $10,500 (which is being collected through two separate pages, the first of which is linked below). This is the minimum amount required to secure two spots in the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, where we will each run 26.2 miles to raise awareness and funds🎖 Please note that 100% of the donated funds are directly supporting St. Jude; these are not used to cover travel expenses, etc. We know that with the help of our family and friends, we can reach this goal. Please help us by making a tax-deductible donation using the link below and sharing this throughout your network. Note: if you or someone you know has had a life-changing experience thanks to St. Jude, please reach out to me if you're willing to share your story. https://lnkd.in/gryDEZET #charityrunners #marathonrunners #runforgood #giveback
