Johan Van Oeffelen’s Post

No prosperity without digital inclusion. It's alarming that 40% of Belgians aged 16 to 74 lack basic digital skills. Yet digital inclusion is crucial for everyone—citizens, the economy, and the government. By 2030, up to 560,000 new jobs will require such skills. We must act now to prevent further digital exclusion. The DigitAll coalition, which includes over 120 organisations, is working to address this issue. However, progress is fragmented. We need a cohesive strategy supported by all levels of government. Together with 63 other CEOs and ambassadors, I endorse DigitAll’s Open Letter and call on future regional and federal governments to join us in this mission by acting on our three recommendations for a digitally inclusive Belgium: 1. Develop a coordinated strategy. 2. Provide structural funding. 3. Work on an inclusive approach. Together, we reaffirm our dedication to creating a more inclusive digital landscape where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. A comprehensive digital inclusion plan will have our full support. We're ready for an impactful collaboration. I invite you to read and share this open letter to help raise awareness and drive structural change. 🔗 Download and share our open letter: ➤ French version: https://bit.ly/digitall_FR ➤ Dutch version: https://bit.ly/digitall_NL #DigitAll #DigitalInclusion #OpenLetter #Government #Leadership #Awareness #InclusiveSociety Ali Chari Linde Verheyden Catherine Bals Kristof Lambert
