Sometimes I can't believe how beautiful our software is (both internal and external). Here's a good example - a common problem with SAR is that you wind up with your target of interest in shadow if it's nestled in steep terrain. Canopy allows you to control exactly which direction you image from in order to ensure the target is directly illuminated.
That is cool. Is this for the end user to control before a tasking?
Love the UI 🔥
I love this software and the biggest compliment I can give it is that it just works!
This is the most simplest and the most advanced tasking platform I’ve ever seen. It’s extremely difficult to do both and you guys have nailed it! Would love to sometime get a trial of it. P.S. the supporting documentation for tasking is fantastic!
Joe Morrison Thank you, this is SAR tasking 101 - the very first lesson I had starting in the EO industry was how to help recommend tasking Radarsat-1. And now, we have the tools to do so online, just epic.
Beautiful. Love the full screen map🔥
Very cool feature. Thanks for sharing.
Elegant solution

1moHi Joe Morrison - I’m happy to see Umbra including this capability in Canopy for targets in mountainous terrain. My current PhD research focuses on creating a visibility-optimized SAR scheduling algorithm for challenging targets like the one shown above. Can Canopy automatically suggest ranges of optimal observation geometries for challenging targets to aide the end user in the tasking process?
