In Argentina, an operator achieved an impressive milestone by drilling the fastest lateral section on the pad. Halliburton designed the 6-3/4” GeoTech® GTi54HEs drill bit with 4D-shaped cutters, including Razor™ and Machete™, to enhance cutting efficiency when paired with the iCruise® rotary steerable system. The result? A drilling speed that surpassed the best offset of the pad by an impressive 10%, achieving 53.6 meters per hour on-bottom and an average rate of penetration (ROP) of 45 meters per hour. This achievement occurred in the challenging Organico reservoir, where the customer successfully drilled 2,450 meters of horizontal section, saving 10 hours of drilling time. Halliburton collaborated with a major European operator to successfully achieve over 95% swarf removal during a multi-well Plug & Abandonment (P&A) campaign in the North Sea. We utilized the BaraMag® Swarf Separation and Recovery Unit to ensure safe handling of swarf, minimize equipment impact, and avoid non-productive time and HSE incidents. In Ecuador’s first-ever GeoTap® IDS pressure testing operation, #Halliburton provided a precise pressure gradient analysis. This allowed our customer to identify high-pressure and mobility zones within the reservoir’s main body. The exceptional borehole quality achieved using the iCruise® Rotary Steerable System significantly enhanced reservoir understanding. As a result, production accelerated by five days.
