𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭: Obtain express consent from the consumers that they are fully aware of the purchase and its conditions
𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: All the terms and conditions must be shared in written format with the consumer
𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Cancelling an automatic renewal should be simple for consumers.
𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞: For longer binding periods e.g. annual contracts, there must be an advance notice to the consumer for upcoming renewal with ample time for them to reconsider.
Good business practices establish trust and word of mouth and help not just retain existing customers but convert them into advocates and affiliates.
