Patient involvement in HTA decision-making is a critical concern, and in this study focused on Latin America, findings echo experiences in other regions. These include undervaluation of patients in HTA decision-making, lack of transparency, lack of a clear methodology for the integration of the patient perspective, and lack of support from government institutions in mainstreaming patient representation. This is great research and highlights a continuous need to find better ways of integrating patients into decision-making. Great job, Aline!
Check out my poster at #ISPORAnnual in Atlanta to be presented by David Palacios, M.D. MHA on Monday, May 6, from 12h30-1h30 pm. This abstract is a result of a collaboration with FIFARMA and ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research is a great opportunity to disseminate such meaningful knowledge for LATAM, so we can continually see improvements on #PatientEngagement in the region. David, many thanks for doing this on my behalf. Anke-Peggy, thank you for building this bridge! https://lnkd.in/gz-7VxVA
Thanks a lot for sharing, João L. Carapinha, Ph.D.!
