4-H Council Board Chair Krysta Harden and I recently had the privilege of meeting with USDA Deputy Secretary Xochitl Torres Small to discuss our strategies for promoting youth leadership in growing careers and enhancing work readiness across essential industries like #ag. Deputy Secretary Torres Small, who has been a steadfast supporter of Extension and 4-H programs in her home state of New Mexico, is now extending that support nationwide. As the second highest-ranking leader at USDA, her support is invaluable to our mission. Our shared values and commitment unite us in a common goal – ensuring all youth have access to opportunities in agriculture and beyond. Together, we are making strides toward a brighter future for our young leaders. 🌱🌍
Love to see the support for yourh development! My earliest awareness of agricultural issues came from 4-H. 4-H provided me with a great experience and leadership development. Keep the momentum going.
Awesome! So important to lead and grow the youth leadership movement ❤️🙏🏻
