We believe in a future where Aboriginal Corporations and organisations are achieving the best kinds of outcomes for our communities. This is our vision and it’s at the front of our minds whenever the 𝐁𝐄𝐢𝐍𝐆 program takes place because the governance parts of the organisation are integral for your organisational objectives to be achieved. Only when organisations have processes in place to be on top of their governance is community in a position to be properly served. Typically, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations have massive goals which, if achieved, can be life changing through the cultural, educational, health, community and other areas where they are operating. Given our technical experiences and knowledge we feel a great sense of responsibility to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations by developing and growing the specified governance outcomes through the 𝐁𝐄𝐢𝐍𝐆 program. 𝐁𝐄𝐢𝐍𝐆 is a journey where the journey begins in the program itself which is designed to seek out and find the balance between the governance needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and the respective regulatory obligations and requirements. Today, we acknowledge Juneteenth, a significant day of freedom and progress. The journey towards true freedom and equity is an ongoing endeavor, with Juneteenth serving as an important marker along the way. It is a time to reflect on the progress made, while also acknowledging that there is still work to be done to address systemic inequalities and ensure that the promise of liberty is extended to every member of our society. As we observe Juneteenth, let us be inspired to continue the fight for justice, to amplify diverse voices, and to build a more inclusive and equitable future for generations to come.

Today, the White House celebrates the 25th Annuversary of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI). President Biden and Vice President Harris celebrate the diversity of cultures, breadth of achievement, and remarkable contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) communities, while also recognizing the systemic barriers to equity, justice, and opportunity that still put the American dream out of reach for far too many AA and NHPI people across the United States. For more than three years, the Biden-Harris Administration has leveraged the full force of the Federal Government to ensure the promise of America for all AA and NHPI communities — including by issuing an Executive Order establishing the President’s Advisory Commission and White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI). https://lnkd.in/ebzN32bN

#GlobalResponsibility for #GlobalJustice? 🌍 ⚖ A Personal Reflective Pause... Today's hearing in #thehague touches the hearts of many regarding the tragic situation in #Gaza and reminds me, regardless of personal or political alignment on the situation, of the immense need for a world where justice knows no borders and accountability is a global doctrine. As a South African who lived through and benefitted from the era of #apartheid, this event resonates deeply with me. In my role, I am constantly aware of the essential and urgent need for #globalresponsibility. The absence of an entry in the "Encyclopedia of Global Justice" stands out starkly. This isn't merely an oversight in academia; it's indicative of our broader mission to embed the ethos of global responsibility into the fabric of societal norms. It requires me and you (the "I"), our organisations and collectives (the "We") and the systems (human and natural) that constitute our planet ("All of Us"). To my fellow leaders, educators, and our institutions: let’s expand our discourse and embed the tenets of Fairness, Freedom, Honesty, Humanity, Responsibility, Solidarity, Tolerance and Transparency into our daily practices. Let us reflect on our role in shaping a future where such ideals are not just entries in an encyclopedia but the foundations of our actions and decisions.
