My simple 5-minute calendar hack to ensure you’re working on your top priorities:  1️⃣ Write down your top 1-3 priorities.  2️⃣ Now, look at your calendar over the last 2-3 weeks. For any time block that moved the needle on a top priority, color it BLUE. 3️⃣ Pause and reflect on what you see.  🌀Was there enough BLUE to make progress? 🌟Now, take a look at the next 2-3 weeks and repeat the exercise: 🌟 Where is the BLUE in your calendar and is there enough time scheduled for you to actually prioritize it? If not, add BLUE!

This! It works. I learned this hack from Jess several years ago and still use it. One adaptation for me was calendaring time that was just for me or my daughter (green). When I started, it was shocking how little time I dedicated to my mental and physical health and as a single parent to the precious time with my daughter. My calendar was for everyone/everything else! After that realization many, many questions I thought about daily about my experiences at work and in particular with colleagues became clear. My choices and decisions changed, leading to my decision to retire and a mental shift around with whom I will work. Now, green is much more prominent on my calendar, no matter how much blue there is. Thanks Jess!!

Great hack! Visualizing priorities in this way can really help ensure we stay focused on what truly matters. How do you handle unexpected tasks that disrupt your planned 'BLUE' time?
