It's been two months at C4E and this is part 2/3 of my B̶o̶m̶b̶a̶y̶ V̶i̶s̶i̶t̶, C4E Visit! In a previous post, I talked about immense networking and how one can leverage the same. (𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴) This one is going to be about the 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚 and how C4E is the village that provides you with that! The 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚 explained by Sahil Bloom is that each of us as an individual has a surface area on which lucky events can strike. There are some factors beyond our control but the size of luck surface is in our control. The luckiest people have had larger luck surface area either by choosing alternative routes, meeting new people or networking! (𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴) During the three days, I realized the interactions at #c4e table either at the Starbucks centre table, at the Jamjar table where I met Somya Paramguru 🌐, (She is the voice behind Doreamon's title song which she sang at the age of 6) or in the event at Juhu where I met Ria Chowdhary, a consultant and a PR Professional! All these interactions were an opportunity to: - Network - To increase my luck surface area - Be in a room full of interesting people 𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧? - if I'm getting two choices to be with people or be at a place, choose the place or people where your luck surface area is high! - It's fine if I'm the dumbest in the room or new to the people. But the first step to increase the luck surface area is to seize that opportunity and be at the centre table! 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞? - Personal branding. Next post on that.
