I am a Dedicated Baseball Fan and an Engineer! What I cannot understand is why Baseball Commissioner does not attempt to help the safety Of ball players! All ballparks are different in design For many reasons we all understand and tolerate The differences! However ALL outfield fences can Designed to a standard of safety to prevent injuries! Larger Padding covered with fabric that wears but Slides so you cannot Jam a foot etc. The Curb at the Bottom of the wall (That was inefficiently Paded) Where JUDGE was injured should NEVER be in ANY Ballpark! Still exists any nothing is being done to Prevent additional injuries! WHY WHY WHY is Nothing being done by Baseball to DO Something To prevent future Injuries!! I would be happy to Design a fence that will reduce injuries and will Be a Standard for ALL outfield d Fences! What are Your thoughts???
Three things that Kansas City has that Manhattan needs: 1. Pickleball Courts Everyone’s playing pickleball, and there just aren’t enough courts to accommodate players in Manhattan. 1. Recreation Centers Manhattan needs more rec centers to host tournaments, such as baseball and basketball. This will draw people into the city and bring additional revenue. 3. Bar K I would love to see a bark in Manhattan. I started my day yesterday deciding I need to learn more about Jackie Robinson. Who knew that he played and lettered in 4 sports that were not baseball which, btw, he said was his worst sport? Who knew he moonlighted as a tennis player and won tournaments? Or that he played football? Or exercised his political preferences? His strength, talent, and guts were off the charts, and the post-sports career that he created was impressive, too. It's all in this piece.
