This weekend I competed with my dog Jackie at the AKC Agility Invitational in Orlando, FL. Only 6 dogs are invited from each breed and the teams spend a year working hard to claim those top spots (not to mention the years of training leading up to it). For a few days I checked out, ignored my phone and checked off a huge item off my bucket list. It was the experience of a lifetime. Remember the people that you work with are multi-dimensional and we should encourage them to be that way. I’ve worked with & met people who have been on America Ninja Warrior, competed in Ironmans, Marathons, drive school buses, cook like chefs, woodworkers, are dedicated parents, DIYers, Gardeners, or even just like to keep a very very clean house as a hobby (she knows who she is). Not everyone’s joy looks the same, but it makes them better, more interesting and more creative people to work with. Celebrate the whole human, not just the worker. #people #work
