The AI wars are here - Google suddenly released Gemini, and it's better, in many ways, than OpenAI's GPT 4. Its capabilities shocked many in the industry in just the last 24 hours. More reason to set your business up in a way that's software-neutral. Using cloud-based software as your daily management system, with compatibility to plug-in any AI platform is the only way to seamlessly adapt to new technology. Good take on how StackOverflow can recover.

The AI model learns from humans answering questions. If you replace humans answering questions with AI, then the AI will not be able to train on humans answering questions. The AI will become poor at answering questions over time. All it will have to go on is feedback, but without human input it won't be able to improve. This is because communicating solutions is a human communication issue: the AI is just a pattern matcher. It can only understand how people process information by looking at human conversations. Now, of course, you could say "The AI will just improve until it's able to tell people what they need know". But I argue it cannot do that unless it communicates with people. Profit motives will want to optimise that out, of course. The problem here is that this creates a feedback loop in human thinking: people will eventually absorb mostly only what the AI shows, and the AI will respond to that response. Eventually human experience will be narrowed to a point, with humanity circling that point, like a gigantic ant-mill death spiral. But perhaps all that is really being considered here is to profit from AI? Humanity is optimising itself out of existence.

Noob question here. Is there an API for AI agents? Let's say I send a prompt for competitor research (Reddit, Product Hunt, G2, etc), and they work on it step-by-step. I am not sure it's possible with just gpt-4o

What's your take on this platform? For example there are 8K searches for toothpaste in Canada with a CPC of $1.67.
