#Ariane6 build for first testflight from the French Guyana launch base.
A date for the first flight is coming up soon.
Norwegian industry provides components and #Ariane6 includes parts made in #Horten, #Kongsberg and #Raufoss by #Kongsberg and #Nammo. The value pr flight for Norwegian industry is abt 10 MNOK dependent on the numbers of boosters. #Ariane6 F1 has two boosters. The more powerful versions has 4 boosters.

Talon-A craft's hypersonic velocity
_____________________________
Prominent aerospace firm Stratolaunch, recently completed a test flight where its Talon-A craft achieved near hypersonic velocity. The company is now gearing up for a subsequent mission later this year, aiming to hit or exceed Mach 5. The March 9 trial successfully met all primary goals, setting the stage for the next powered flight of Talon-A.
This upcoming mission intends to demonstrate both hypersonic speed and the vehicle's ability to be reused by landing on a runway. The implications of these tests are significant for the U.S. Defense Department's hypersonic initiatives, which include developing advanced weaponry and countermeasures against similar technologies pursued by nations like China and Russia. The forthcoming flight will enhance this collaboration, utilizing SkyRange's sophisticated sensors for tracking and marking the first mission under the Pentagon's MACH-TB program. This program's flying testbed is tasked with verifying various hypersonic components, materials, and other related tech.
Hypersonic weapons are poised to transform modern warfare by facilitating the creation of ultra-fast arms capable of striking distant targets swiftly and accurately, affording adversaries minimal response time. These weapons also act as a strategic deterrent, contributing to the maintenance of regional and global equilibrium. However, the integration of subsystems into a Hypersonic Vehicle (HV) is a complex endeavor. The guidance and control system, a vital part of an HV, necessitates a power supply, computing unit, sensors, and maneuvering mechanisms like aerodynamic fins or miniature cold gas jets. As the system incorporates more elements, the challenges of maintaining a balance between weight, compactness, and functionality increase. Moreover, the vehicle must accommodate a payload, which could be conventional, nuclear, or non-lethal. Therefore, crafting an HV demands meticulous planning and balancing of these various aspects.
