Today I think about the tie between technology and getting POC access to financial literacy and that excites me 👏 I can speak from my own experiences and say that I realize that generations who grow up with access to technology may have more likelihood to seek information about finance planning. Growing up as a millennial black woman, two things were clear: 1. We only truly took advice from people we knew personally in childhood. This could mean if you didn't have someone in your family with financial literacy, you just didn't know. The internet wasn't as accessible. 2. I didn't know any people from my community that looked like me who had wealth. I couldn't be influenced by something I didn't know existed. Now, I believe we are at a great time for advocacy for this knowledge to POC by the ways of technology and influence. Even if you have the 2 above experiences you now have platforms to defy some of the limitations. Day 5 of our TechPlus Summer Camp was all about financial literacy! Our students learned the importance of living within their means and how to manage debt. They learned how to create a budget, prioritize needs over wants, and make smart financial decisions. We also discussed the pros and cons of credit, how to use it responsibly, and strategies for paying off debt. Empowering our future leaders with the knowledge to make informed financial choices is a key part of our mission.

Two clients went live this past week with new deployments of SpringFour' digital financial health offering! I can't wait to share more with you when we are able but they are big brands doing great work. They care about their customers. Proud of my team for making this happen and all of the little steps along the way that led to this--which is market adoption by leading brands of an innovative product that represents something new to the market and a different way of doing things. Let that sink in because sometimes we gloss over what this really means and how hard and long it can take to have this happen. It is good for us to remind ourselves all of the little things, the courage , the trust, the conviction, the belief and passion and yes even the mistakes that got us here today.
