[#innaxe4eu] 🇩🇰 🔎 Zoom on co-creation in Denmark! 🛠️ From a roundtable organized in Copenhagen to individual meetings with Key Opinion Leaders, the Danish Life Science Cluster brought INNAXE’s major topics to the attention of key health and life science stakeholders. A couple of insights from those interviews and cocreation session: 📌Approval for an international cluster2cluster collaboration for joint actions in the 9 major topics like MedTech, digital health, public procurement but also and importantly for equity in health; 📌Cascade funding calls as a tool for investment in the field of public procurement with hospitals pitching their needs to ignite innovation power before the calls; 📌Equity in health: there is a huge geopolitical driver in Europe to lift the quality healthcare in all countries to the same level. Lack of equity can be used as a powerhouse to generate new generation technologies with more adequate pricing models. The Innovation for Health event yesterday was very inspiring and beneficial! As we at InsectSense are building a biochip technology that senses like a human and smells like bees 🐝, we could find a few collaborators that could benefit from our technology! It was also full of learnings. The interaction with people from academia and companies taught me how other technologies are fulfilling the need in the current market and what are some of the gaps. Also, it was very impressive to see entrepreneurs who have raised 50 M or 100 M $€ investment. Even more impressive was to see the entrepreneurs whose companies are generating such revenues! This shows that it's all about finding the right investors and having the right proposition, and it's possible to get there! Let's keep hope🚀. The panel discussion of Tim Knotnerus , Eline van Beest , and Jan van de Winkel, Ph.D. was also very interesting, mostly in 2 aspects: 1. How to deal with the team and organization when you are growing. I liked what Tim said based on his experience; having lunch with new employees always makes it nice and brings people closer to each other! Keeping the focus on your goal and the vision of the company and on reaching the milestones as planned in the board meeting. Sometimes it's not needed that everyone agrees on 1 decision, but when the decision is made, they all follow and respect that and keep that as their focus. 2. Plans can always change and things can go wrong! It's good to accept it, but have a backup plan. I remember that last year, with Koenraad Wiedhaup , Tim, and Eline, one of the main topics was about pivoting. I could resonate this last topic very much aligned with that conversation! It was also great to meet again one of my favorite and inspiring entrepreneurs, Thom Weustink, and also Ansa Baykuş-Wasim, PhD from Deloitte yesterday. We had this interesting conversation about awareness for all the team members and organization about phishing and the importance of cybersecurity. Thanks to all the organizers of this event, sponsors, speakers and also everyone who helped me with connections with people in their network.
