It's been a busy month advocating for children’s health in Washington, DC with my CHA colleagues and in my home state of Washington with several Seattle Children’s team members. Children represent 100% of our future, but 0% of our votes. It's critical that we fill that gap for them with our advocacy and I’m hopeful our local and federal leaders will make timely decisions in support of children's health.
Absolutely Jeff Sperring, MD your insights are spot on. As we navigate the complexities of child health, three tips come to mind: 1) Embrace a visionary approach by developing sustainable health initiatives that benefit children in the long run. 2) Prioritize ethical decision-making, ensuring children’s best interests are always at the forefront. 3) Encourage political engagement and support candidates who prioritize child health policies. Our collective effort can make a significant difference in shaping a healthier future for our children.
Now is the time to NEVER EVER leave a child behind. ✊
Advocating for children everywhere was something I learned from my boss. It isn't just where you live or in your state but for every child.

4moIt was so great getting to spend the day learning from you and the other leaders! Advocacy is so important, especially for those who can’t advocate for themselves. I’m looking forward to continuing this work in the future!
