We love to see representation of Diabetes technology on the big screen. Check out this Netflix trailer of their new movie #PurpleHeartsNetflix, which features Medtronic Diabetes technology and our own Heather Lackey, clinician, and diabetes educator at Medtronic! This film tells the story of Cassie (played by Sofia Carson), a struggling singer-songwriter with type 1 diabetes, and Luke (played by Nicholas Galitzine), a troubled Marine, agreeing to marry solely for his military benefits despite their many differences. It is great to see more mainstream media portraying what it is like to live with diabetes, and we even get to see Cassie experience the benefits of going on the #MiniMed770G insulin pump to help her better manage her diabetes.
