From my last visit to Singapore and recent conversation with other Silicon Valley VC share the semiconductor venture and startup activities are picking up in Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore is more focused on venture, startups on designs and upfront manufacturing, while Malaysia is making more progress on packaging. Southeast Asia is the new growth opportunity for innovations in compute, semiconductor, and MedTech.
