HITIQ has announced a partnership with the National Rugby League (NRL) to trial HITIQ's state-of-the-art Nexus mouthguard technology throughout the 2024 season. The trial aims to evaluate the product's fit for broader rollout within the league and marks a key milestone for HITIQ, with Nexus mouthguard technology now exposed in all major Australian sports leagues. In addition to the NRL trial, several teams have already independently established and adopted HITIQ's instrumented mouthguard technology to measure, mitigate, and better understand head impact exposure during training, games, and competitions to comprehensively gather longitudinal impact data, collect concussion data points, and develop pathways to establishing clinical utility. Damien Hawes, HITIQ's Chief Commercial Officer, commented on the deal: "The adoption of our technology by the NRL for the 2024 season is a significant milestone for both HITIQ and the NRL. We are proud to support the NRL's vision for enhanced player welfare. Contracting is a team sport, and to get better together you need to move tacit knowledge into shared explicit knowledge about both the process and the content of deals.
