This is how event highlights are done right!
Through a kickass video 🤩
Sometimes agencies assume that event highlights are just a summary of an activity, a montage of clips put together to showcase that 'something was done'.
Brands also assume that event highlights is something they need to do for their management to see that 'something was done'.
Both these outputs have very generic treatments and looks the same 🥱
But what Mondrian Singapore Duxton did for their grand opening, is in line with their narrative of art and storytelling.
It's not just a collage of random video clips put together, but a story told with good music, good visuals, and very captivating overlays giving it a bit of grit, edge, and rebellion, all of which are in line with the hotel's brand guidelines.
This is a testament that anything that's seemingly 'boring', 'done and dusted' or 'dime a dozen', can still rise above the noise!
Here are 3 ways you can elevate your event highlight video so you can stand out from the crowd;
🪝 Start with a hook! Whether it's a drone shot, a close up of food, or an audio stimulation, draw your viewers in with a 3 second hook and reel them in.
💥 ENERGY! Use a good music bed to keep the flow, and ensure that the visuals match the beat so that viewers don't get bored and navigate away. always keep them on their toes (tapping to the beat).
🔎 Brand consistency! Event highlights can also showcase your brands visual identity, with colours, overlays, and even treatment. This allows a simple piece of content to embed your brand image in the minds of your consumer. That's the power of video!
So the question is, what other event highlight video you've seen that just blows your mind?
