Every monologue begins with a thought Every dialogue begins with a monologue Every story begins with a dialogue For every history, there must be a story. Every great person begins with a deliberate action to change his world. Tunde Omotoye keeps winning in all.

It’s my Birthday Today 🎉🎉 It’s my birthday today and I will like to reflect on where it all started. My message simply is to Persevere. Be consistent. You have what it takes. When I started out in my career working at Food Concepts Plc. (Chicken Republic), I did a lot of reading. The management and development books I read and the people I worked with (Shegs, Mr. Biodun, Claudette, Tolani, etc.) gave me a glimpse into what was possible. I always persevered knowing that if I continued to better myself by learning the right skills and delivering my duties end to end, I’d be able to stand out anywhere or any role I found myself. There’s still a lot to accomplish but I am grateful for how far we have come. I am using this medium to tell someone. Your present state isn’t a definition of what is yet to come. Persevere. Be Consistent. You have what it takes. And always remember, the right opportunity can change your story forever, but let that opportunity meet you prepared.

I think this is shared sentiment but very few people I've met in the industry actually chose to be here (Transportation and Logistics). When I grow up, I want to work in Trucking, Dad! (Not really) There are two kinds of people: Type A) An opportunity presented itself. Took a risk, realized logistics is a different animal and quickly make a career change out of the industry. This is not for me type (tenure 1-3 years) Type B) Either totally unrelated and fell in by chance or had some affiliation to the industry, maybe worked for a manufacturer/distributor... a tangent that ran parallel to the industry. Fell in love with the fact that it's its own reality within the rest of the world that never sleeps, with its own language/terminology, new challenges, always something to learn. The lifer. (tenure 5 years to life) I'll share mine: - I'm Type B, and I couldn't picture myself in a General Ledger counting beans for the next 30 years. I had warehouse/inventory experience working summer jobs for Mercury Marine and Budweiser, swapped to Supply Chain, fell into Transportation and the rest is history. Which are you, and how did you get here?

Excited to begin my journey at C.W. Mackie plc! Today marked the first day of my new job, and I was fortunate to attend an insightful orientation led by our CMO. One piece of advice that truly resonated with me was the importance of honing our skills in creative problem-solving. As the saying goes, even the best-laid plans can encounter unexpected challenges. It's crucial to be prepared to face these issues head-on, and that's where creative problem-solving comes into play. By continuously enhancing this skill, we can navigate through uncertainties and turn obstacles into opportunities. #CreativeProblemSolving #InnovationMatters #NewBeginnings #CareerDevelopment #CWMackiePlc 🌟

As I worked through my shopping list at the local supermarket yesterday it struck me again how quickly the world changes. Not only were the shelves full of toilet rolls there were specials on every 2nd item. Spoilt for choice and no need to stockpile (not that I ever would ;). Not so long ago we'd be looking at anyone with a loo roll in their shopping bag with both curiosity and a touch of suspicion. I remember buying some very strange questionable quality rolls from the local pub whilst out on our designated exercise walk. These days I stick to the supermarket where possible. At Partners in Performance we work at solving problems in fast paced high impact engagements. Each year our exact offerings change as we adapt to the needs of our clients and the available technologies. I'm not claiming that we solved the world's toilet paper crisis (though am sure we could) but work closely with our clients to come up with practical solutions to a variety of operational conundrums. #partnersinperformance #lifeatPiP #managementconsulting #careers #careersatPiP #joinPiP Nick Cowdery Jelena Dragosavljevic

"I'm thrilled to convey that thirty years ago, on January 17, 1994, I embarked on my career in the shipping industry. Even after reaching this three-decade milestone, the commitment to continuous learning remains strong. The logistics landscape has undergone significant changes in the last ten years, particularly in the past 3-4 years, with evolving technologies making a substantial impact on cargo handling. Here's to the next chapter in career and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead! 🚢✨To put it precisely, I would liken the ongoing industry changes to the gradual melting of ICE 😊."

🌟 When One Door Closes, another Window Opens 🌟 When things don't go as planned, it can lead to new chances. If one thing doesn't work out, it's an opportunity to try something new and maybe even better. One day, it was my daughter’s birthday, and she wanted Korean Bibimbap as her special treat. I went to the grocery store but couldn’t find a key sauce for the dish. I really wanted to make her feel special, so I took it as a challenge and tried a new recipe for the sauce from scratch. Guess what? It was better than the store-bought sauce. What seemed like a setback led to an even better outcome. Stay positive and flexible. Every closed door can lead to a new window of opportunity. Keep going and see what new opportunities await. #Resilience #Opportunity #GrowthMindset #KeepTrying
