A top tip of the day for you - Don't let droopy cord distract from your display!
It’s easy to overlook, but subtle details like ensuring you have straight cord can make a huge difference to the visual quality of your display. Here’s why:
↳ Drooping cord creates a visual distraction from your artwork or exhibit because the curve of the cord clashes with the architecture of the space it sits within, drawing the eye to it and creating a messy feel.
Whereas a straight, clean line of cord visually blends into its surroundings, as the line neatly matches nearby details like skirting boards and shadow gaps which are all horizontal, straight lines.
Super simple, yet makes a huge difference! 🤩
You can remove the droop either by trimming your cord and re-inserting it into one of the barrier uprights (⚠️ never knot or wrap the cord), or, if your barriers have simply gotten too close together, just moving the barriers apart (we recommend up to a 2m gap for freestanding).
If you would like any advice about your barriers or displays, please do get in touch, we would love to share our wealth of knowledge with you.
