The concepts and advice in this article can be applied to any industry. If you are struggling to find leaders who are strong at both strategy and operations (and lets face it; those are rare!), consider the dyad approach. This article does a great job of defining the personality traits that help (or hinder) the dyad relationship. The author points out that psychometric tests can be very helpful in identify people who are more (or less) likely to work effectively as a dyad. Additionally, an executive coach can facilitate the success of the relationship.

Dyad leadership is a great concept that is not new but gaining more traction across healthcare (especially post-COVID). It'll only work, however, if you have the right leaders in place who have the humility and commitment to make a dyad partnership work. All this was delivered through the story of Marcius (https://lnkd.in/e7tQy4Sx) 5th Century Roman general, a formidable leader and 'rockstar' warrior in the Roman army. Despite his triumphs, Marcius struggles to adapt to Rome's rapidly changing culture. His lack of self-awareness, humility, and adaptability leaves him stuck in an old paradigm of leadership. If only he could bridge the gap and unite people, Rome might stand a chance. and his leadership style and what traits could have saved him from tragic death at end which could have saved him if he had followed certain dynamics. Post noon the session was on Communication we immersed in the real-life story of a surgeon and an young anesthetist Peter Pronovost (https://lnkd.in/eBd6_wie) during a routine operation. This session focused on critical decision-making under pressure and effective communication, positive feedback, difficult conversations, active listening, power and hierarchy.
