Hey everyone! As someone who has been on both sides of the interview process, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to go through interviews. So, I wanted to share some tips that can help you ace your next interview, especially if you're interested in a sales career at TQL. 1. Do your research: Before heading into your interview, make sure you do your research on TQL. Know our company values, our clients, and our products/services. This will not only impress the interviewer but also help you understand if TQL is the right fit for you. 2. Highlight your sales experience: Whether you're a seasoned sales pro or just starting out, make sure to highlight your sales experience during the interview. Share specific examples of how you have successfully closed deals, handled difficult clients, or met sales targets. Don't shy away from showcasing your skills and achievements. 3. Be confident, but not overconfident: Confidence is key in sales, but make sure you strike the right balance during your interview. Be confident in your abilities and knowledge, but don't come across as arrogant. Remember, the interviewer is looking for someone who can work well with a team and represent the company professionally. 4. Show your passion: Sales is difficult and demanding. Show your interviewer that you have the right mentality and the mindset that failure is not an option. At TQL there is no limit on what you can achieve. Take advantage of this opportunity and show TQL's recruiting team why you will be our next Million-Dollar Broker! Prospecting without rejection using a *UPSP🥕 We’ll put their name in an email joke or a hand-written crumpled letter. You call saying ‘I sent you a joke (or a crumpled letter) did you get it OK?’ ‘Conversation follows’
At my first sales interview they said.. “What makes you think you’ll be any good at sales?” “Well I’m good at talking to people” says I. 🙈 Yes…I really said that. I’ve interviewed 1000s of people for sales jobs since then. If I got that answer today, I would stop the interview. I would ask… “Is that what you think sales is then?…being good at talking to people?” I know there will be people reading this, who think that being good at sales is being good at ‘talking to people’ Head’s up: If you ever get asked that question in a sales job interview, here’s the way to answer and guarantee getting the job. “I am the worlds best listener. I know how to ask a great question, but more importantly…” “I know when to focus on the prospect.” “I know how to listen intently to what they say” “I know how to pick up on the nuances of how they answer” “I’ve learned that the secret to being great at sales is to allow the prospect to guide me into helping them to solve their most difficult problems.” “That’s why I’m the natural choice for this sales position.” “When do you need me to start?” #sales #salesmanagement #CEO #salesdirector #outreach

It's kind of crazy how sales reps are not closing during interviews. The main purpose of you meeting the prospective employer is to persuade and influence to hire them, so why aren't you asking for the job? Here are a few tips to help you close the deal in your next interview: - Understand Your Value Proposition: Just as you would with any product, know your unique strengths and how they align with the company's needs. - Prepare and Personalize: Research the company and role extensively. Tailor your pitch to demonstrate how your skills directly contribute to their objectives. - Ask the Right Questions: Show your interest and understanding by asking insightful questions about the company’s challenges and goals. This mirrors the discovery phase of the sales process. - Handle Objections Gracefully: Be ready to address any concerns the interviewer might have. Turn potential weaknesses into strengths by demonstrating your problem-solving skills. - Close with Confidence: Just like in a sales meeting, end the interview by reiterating your enthusiasm for the role and asking for the next steps. Every interview is a sales opportunity - It's your chance to showcase your abilities and close the deal on your dream job. Let's bring the same passion and precision to our interviews as we do to our sales pitches! #prontopeople #saas #closing

Sales Interview Pro Tip: Use the questions you ask in an interview to highlight your discovery skills and process... (*NEWS FLASH*) In the same way you would ask questions to a prospect or client. When I'm interviewing someone, I hope they ask me so many relevant 2nd and 3rd level questions that I don't have answers for them. Because if you ask me great questions, 100% of the time I will make sure the hiring team knows about your strong discovery process. When you have the opportunity to ask questions, ask them. Make the relevant. Ask things like: "I understand the day to day of the role, but what are the main challenges your AE's in this sector face when selling?" And then double down on my answer. "What are the top performers doing to overcome those challenges and close deals?" Once you have an understanding, share a quick example of how you've faced similar challenges and what you did to overcome them. Or not. I don't know. Maybe just ask about the culture or something. #themoreyouknow #salesinterviewprotip

Growth Advisor and Doctoral Candidate researching the Science of Business Growth and Gender Inclusion in B2B Sales.
I’ve heard of a few folks hiring Sales People recently (yahoo), but… I worry about how they are assessing the skills and success factors of the individuals they are interviewing. Before you make a costly hiring mistake that will cause you and the candidate pain, download the white paper linked. In it, you’ll find the empirically proven success attributes for sales pros and a list of questions I developed to help you assess them. If you are uncertain or need help in this important growth hire, let’s talk.
Do your sales interviews sound like this? "Tell me about yourself." "Sell me this pen." "Who do you know in XYZ industry?" If so, you may not be assessing the right attributes. In our previous post we outlined that evidence suggests that 1. Selling-related knowledge, 2. Degree of adaptiveness, 3. Role ambiguity, 4. Cognitive aptitude, and 5. Work engagement are the key attributes required for success in sales. Now that you know, what questions would you ask to assess? Fear not, as we have put together a comprehensive list of questions to help you along the way. The ideal hiring process along with the questions can be found in the link below.
