Clear, logical rules. Clear, serious consequences for breaking the rules. Covers students & faculty. It’s that simple Columbia University, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania etc. Are the “elite schools” not as smart as University of Florida?
Funny to think if these students had been so outspoken in Gaza under Hamas or Syria under Asad or Iran under Khamenei or Russia under Putin they would be beaten tortured and jailed if not put to death - this isn’t Israel killing Palestinians this is freedom versus authoritarianism- NATO must stand against Putin and Hamas to send a clear message to China, Iran and North Korea that we are willing to fight for our way of life.
I would add no masks or face coverings. If you are afraid of catching Covid, you should not be at a protest.
Set clearly defined rules and enforce them. That's a pretty basic concept which the Ivy League Adminsitrations can't seem to grasp. As always, It's Great to be a Florida Gator!
And at the University of Florida, you probably get a lot more valuable education for the money.
Evidence suggests that Columbia University Massachusetts Institute of Technology Yale University are not as smart as the University of Florida
Also should be no masks rule... I wonder if this will affect number of people participating in those violent disturbances

2moIt's about time—kudos to the University of Florida! I was surprised to see students abusing freedom of expression, and I wondered why universities were not taking any action. Note that I have never traveled outside India, but I have always admired the well-disciplined campuses in the U.S. It was disheartening to see young people misusing their freedoms. It's commendable that the University of Florida has stepped up, setting an example for other Ivy schools! Especially Columbia!
