So stoked to have Kolide joining 1Password! Jason's Honest Security deeply resonates with me. Honest Security is effectively a manifesto of what security could be when grounded in honesty, transparency, trust, and respect for end user privacy and informed consent. It situates people and their relationships as the core value of security. Back in university I loved studying science fiction dystopias. These imaginings served as a sociological tool to help frame our society's collective fears and concerns about the future of technology. In turn, understanding these fears helped frame how we might act in the present to drive towards a future we *want*. Not wanting to live in a techno-dystopia was a serious reason I got into digital privacy and security in the first place, and Honest Security is one of those visions of the future I desperately want to live in. Combining telemetry and metrics from all layers of the network stack is critical to protecting critical assets (data) within an organisation.
