"Lawmakers want answers from AG about Chinese ties to illicit weed farms". Click the link below to read the original story. The Chinese have dominated the Cannabis landscape for the past 10 years. Buying from Canada, Queens, LA - I would argue that 90% of illicit product has Chinese finger prints. Pretty good chance that some sort of illicit Chinese operation has a hand in it. States don't have the budget to fight them and when they feel pressure they pick up, pack up and leave. In Oklahoma they found farms with Chinese slaves chained to their work stations - and its a whole different post to explain how the international slave trade operates and how someone is forced into slavery in order to flee their family from China - or even keep them from being murdered by Chinese organized crime. Once Oklahoma was "hot" with federal enforcement many of these same illicit operators packed up and moved to Maine to flood the Eastern seaboard. The current price for the most amazing Cannabis flower has fallen on the illicit market to 12-1400, and that's usually with a broker or two in between the farm - never mind the 300-500 dollar light deps that are flooded EVERYWHERE. The states don't have the resources to keep up with the Chinese domination of the US Cannabis industry and thus yet another reason that descheduling Cannabis would give states and the Federal Government an ability to begin analyzing these Chinese investments in legal Cannabis and also begin to tackle a tremendous amount of the illicit activity. It is nearly impossible to compete with money laundering and that is EXACTLY what the Cannabis industry is being used for across the nation, and no better place to see it then in LA or NYC. https://lnkd.in/e8ZjXF-x

I’m also worried about another Chinese drug import, fentanyl, being mixed with cannabis and creating a huge disaster.

Facts. It's crazy to me that most people don't even think about where their cannabis product is coming from but will then go out and exclusively buy organic produce and local craft beer. Not that there's anything wrong with the latter, it just blows my mind when those same people will buy a boof pack at a bodega simply because it's $25 and convenient.

Euh. With that soil, that's just wrong ...
