Every year, International Women's Day encourages me - and many others - to reflect on the progress or regression of the women’s rights movement in the past year. What impacts one is the work of so many.
Many people I admire have changed the lives of women, our lives filled with opportunities that our grandmas and more likely our great grandmas couldn't even imagine.
I am grateful I can vote, I can study, I can choose what to study and I can do it abroad and graduate from MIT. I can start a company to build the future we want to see in the world. I'm thankful I had the choice to do this.
Even with these choices, you still see statistics like the fact that only 2.2% of funding goes to female founders or hear noise about heart health for women being niche and will continue to be underfunded. I am proud to be a founder focusing on heart health for women in a time where so much is happening in this field, we will live acceleration thanks to collective effort of many.
I am in awe of women who are focusing on making new discoveries on sex differences, women normalizing menstruation, menopause, and hormones and women giving a platform to women’s health research and funding . I am thankful to the women who have given me motivation and advice.
Most of all, I am inspired by the "We can do it" feeling. I often think about Amelia Bloomer - for who we named Bloomer Tech - and how she set out to introduce innovative clothing for women. One can imagine her visionary thoughts at the time that led to liberation and comfort. Clothing not only changes lives, it also changes history.

Today, on #InternationalWomensDay, we want to recognize the trailblazer who used clothing as a powerful tool for change. She challenged societal norms by advocating for women's rights, including their right to dress comfortably and functionally.
Bloomer Tech, named in honor of Amelia Bloomer, pays tribute to her legacy and the transformative impact she had on women's lives. We're inspired by her advocacy for equality and empowerment.

She is an amazing woman. I have the utmost respect for her. A real servant leader!
