HATHOS is #NowOnView at Vienna Collectors Club, and can be seen until July 19th. How to describe the peculiar sensation that washes over you when your fingernails graze a concrete surface and a shudder runs down your spine? And how to articulate the pleasurable feeling that emerges when you peel away the crust of a wound or squeeze a pimple? Isn’t it a weird blend of repulsion and satisfaction, a paradoxical mix of discomfort and gratification? The theory that we can achieve happiness by maximizing pleasure and minimizing the unpleasant is both intuitive and popular. But can satisfaction and gratification alone make us feel fulfilled? Or do we want and even need to experience some sort of pushback? Isn’t the discomforting an essential counterpart for pleasure, and would our existence devoid of it descend into a dull, boring, and downright undesirable abyss? Within HATHOS Sophie Hirsch takes over the apartment of Vienna Collectors Club, inviting visitors to delve into the giddy thrill of the attraction to something you really can’t stand—the compulsion of revulsion. Friday 13th. I am not superstitious but can’t let today go by without posting this. 🍀To some Friday 13th is considered unlucky… 🤥 Legend goes that the unlucky nature of the number "13" is a Norse myth about 12 gods having a dinner party in Valhalla. The trickster god Loki, who was not invited, arrived as the 13th guest, and arranged for Höðr to shoot Balder with a mistletoe-tipped arrow. Dossey: "Balder died, and the whole Earth got dark. ❓❓❓Whats this got to do with this post? Well the truth is really simple…13 is lucky for exhibiting as it`s composed of the three numbers that define exhibition success, (3+4+6) If you know these and do them well, you will get greater ROI and ROO from exhibiting. 3️⃣ The most successful exhibitors set THREE clear and measurable objectives for what they want to achieve. 4️⃣ You have FOUR seconds to make an impression when exhibition, visitors will decide within this time if they are going to stop at your stand, so it`s about your people, your stand and your product in that order. 6️⃣ Chase up every lead within SIX days so you keep that conversation and relationship going. 🎯If you want to be even more successful at exhibiting or selling SqM, get in touch today because that’s what we passionately do every day…work with people like you. Stephan - #𝕋𝕙𝕖𝔼𝕩𝕙𝕚𝕓𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝔾𝕦𝕪 PS Triskaideekaphobia - it`s the fear of the number 13! Don’t fear it…embrace it. 3️⃣ + 4️⃣ + 6️⃣ #Exhibitions #ExhibitionsWork #EventProfs #Exhibitionstand #Exhibitionstanddesign #Exhibitionstandbuilder #LinkedIn

During our artistic pilgrimage to Japan, we were constantly amazed by the depth and diversity of its art scene, with each gallery and museum offering a unique narrative. It was in this backdrop that we encountered "Contact", a 2019 mix media installation by Mé. This piece, a brainchild of the collaborative efforts of KOJIN Haruka, MINAMIGAWA Kenji, and MASUI Hirofumi, epitomizes the magic that arises when individual brilliance coalesces. The artwork, with its solidified black sea waves, serves as a contemplative journey into the ocean's boundless and detailed facets. Kojin's philosophy resonated deeply with us, emphasizing the ocean's ever-evolving essence. From a bird's-eye view, the ocean sprawls endlessly, but as one ventures closer, it reveals its undulating waves, eventually distilling into its core essence. "Contact" encapsulates this transformative experience, offering a panoramic yet detailed view of the ocean. As we introduce this masterpiece to you, our hope is that it kindles feelings of marvel and introspection, mirroring the profound resonance it had with our souls. #méjourney #japanesetapestry #contactinsight #oceanicduality #kojinreflections #artandexploration #wavesofemotion #mécanvas #japanesegallery #natureandartistry #modernart #artl…

What is the value of testing performance? Research is rudimental at TURTLE- it’s at the foundation of all our innovative packing solutions. We aim to perfect the absolute essentials of art shipping and handling by offering the highest standard of protection in user-friendly, reusable products. 🌏 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞: 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬 & 𝐏𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 🌏 It's not every day that you witness the intersection of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and the world-renowned Pokémon franchise! Earlier this year, I made the journey to Kanazawa to experience the unique Pokémon exhibition at the National Crafts Museum. 🎨🖼 The show was an awe-inspiring fusion, with traditional artists, including a Living National Treasure, creating over 70 new works inspired by Pokémon. From Pokémon-evoking shapes to memories of video game adventures and even daily-use items infused with Pokémon charm, the exhibition was a delightful synthesis of tradition and pop culture. But what really got me thinking was the untapped potential. With mounting concerns of "overtourism" in hotspot areas and escalating prices in Tokyo, why wasn't this gem of an opportunity in Kanazawa leveraged more by the tourism sector? The museum, prefectural government, and national tourism infrastructure had a golden chance to divert "inbound" tourist traffic to this unique exhibition, and from my observation, I felt more could have been done. 🤔 I'm sharing the official description of the exhibition below, just to give you a sense of the magic that awaited visitors: 🌟 About the Exhibition "Put Pokémon and Kogei face to face, and what chemical reactions will spark? Twenty craft artists have delved deep into this challenge, producing works that encompass Pokémon shapes, gestures, and memories. From evoking in-game evolution and locations to incorporating Pokémon into daily artifacts like kimonos. The result? A breathtaking 70 new creations! Each piece waiting to provide a different emotion: excitement, joy, nostalgia. This exhibition showcases the limitless possibilities when tradition meets innovation." The confluence of traditional arts and global phenomena such as Pokémon offers a significant opportunity. Regions like Kanazawa can truly benefit if such events are promoted adequately, drawing tourists away from the usual spots and letting them experience Japan's diverse beauty. Did you get the chance to experience this exhibition? Let's keep the conversation going on leveraging such unique opportunities to enhance tourism in Japan's lesser-known gems. #NationalCraftsMuseum #PokémonExhibition #JapanTourism #KanazawaAdventures #TraditionMeetsInnovation #UniqueTourismOpportunities
