I like the quote, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” (or a rather good Margarita!). I also like the Serenity Prayer, ”…grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” I tend to live by both and I have been putting them to good use in the past week or so, when life has been throwing me one curved ball after another…the latest in a long line being dealing with a London apartment festooned with industrial sized drying machines after a flood damaged over 50% of it. I am genuinely fortunate: I know a lot about resilience and staying OK under pressure and I (usually!) manage to practice what I preach. I'm curious to know, what words of wisdom do you turn to when life is more testing than usual and how do you support yourself when the going gets tough?
“This too shall pass”…a reminder to myself, then get myself to a yoga class quick smart!

1moMy favorites are "hold on tightly, let go lightly" and "time passes", to remind myself to reorient and move on, or that movement will happen. Conversely my family motto- for MacLeod it is "Hold Fast" 🐂
