Sometimes I think: "F*ck I can't do this" And then I remember... I am a woman who has been doubted by men (and some women) her whole life, spent my 20s bookkeeping from my kitchen table, learned everything there is to know about business finances before taking any formal qualifications, founded and scaled an international accountancy firm, managed multi-national teams, successfully exited two accountancy firms that I built from scratch, and now work for myself again. Imposter syndrome can be crippling. But sometimes it’s good to set the reality straight. Know your worth ✌️

For most, accounting seems like a "boring" and repetitive office job. I see it differently. To me, accounting is an intricate narrative of numbers that unveils the essence of business life. It's the backbone of any successful enterprise. It shows the dedication and hard work of employees who made those figures happen. The commitment of a team determined to achieve success. It's about finding the hidden beauty in our profession #lovemyjob #acccounting

Inspired to help successful business owners to save tax and use these savings, together with your surplus profits, create family wealth and make dreams come true.
I’ve had a couple of potential client meetings this week, from businesses that have contacted me through LinkedIn… It’s humbling but amazing… as I do enjoy this platform to share ideas about tax… I regularly post, because I do like sharing tax ideas… and other accountants who post seem to fall into two categories… The first categories are ones that seem to outsource their content… and can be a little… 🥱 While the second category are … what’s the nicest way of saying it… attractive younger women who seem to post lots of pictures in their gym gear…. I don’t think me posting pictures of myself in gym gear will get their traction…. Anyway… both meetings this week… led to a very similar question… Jeff… what is special about you… So… I’ll explain… 1 as my friend Lewis Selt said… you are really a businessman who is an accountant… and he is right… so if I were running a business… what would I want from mt accountant… and I think inventive, lateral, and when I absolutely need someone… there for me. My first employee at JLA Chartered Accountants , Andy Evangelou said… if I needed an accountant, I’d want you. That was a wonderful compliment. 2 I do what our clients do… run a business, buy other businesses, and buy a bit of property… so I don’t just talk about it… I do it myself which allows me with complete authenticity , to ask… what would I do? 3 I care about my family, so so much… and I do what I think is right to help secure their future, pass on assets effectively, with the protection that is applicable… So… not my normal post… but hopefully explains… why we are a different… but hopefully in a good way #choose #accountant #why

Chartered Accountant|| Experience Tax Practitioner|| I help companies manage their finances to maximize their revenue.
“Hello Linkedin Family, It’s me again and today I want to talk about one of the common misconceptions people have about Accountants. #STINGINESS I'm usually baffled when I hear people say Accountants are stingy!😳 (is the generalization for me). How can anyone assume that of a profession? You hear them say "Accountants always see/count money, they have so much money but don't want to give or "share the money"🙆♀️ Firstly, the primary responsibility of an Accountant is to keep and interpret financial records(and so many other responsibilities) either for individual clients or for large businesses/organisations. So, that money you say we count is not ours, as such shouldn't and can't be "shared"🤣🤣. Secondly, Accountants are #prudent(we can liken it to mean, cost minimization and revenue maximization) in their spending, so that thing you call "stingy" is actually being #accountable in all their spending.👍 In case you have this misconception about Accountant, I'm sure you know better, we are not stingy. Cheers!

Mindset Coach |Creator of the Unleash Your Inner Power Programme| Specialising with open minded accountancy, bookkeeper practice owners & their clients | Aligning Inner world with the outer | Podcaster | Speaker | Author
Why Accountants and Bookkeepers, you ask? 🤔 Having been a member of #BBB business groups led by Tracey Miller and George Swift for about 3 years, I've found invaluable inspiration and guidance on my journey, despite facing challenges due to a recurring health issue that I am now overcoming. A pivotal moment came when Tracey prompted me to reflect on my past work experiences. As I recounted my diverse roles and responsibilities, including financial oversight as a school governor and bookkeeping for a friend's company (involving VAT) for 5 years, a common thread emerged – numbers. Focusing on introverts like myself, I recognized the importance of allowing ample time and space for processing information. I aimed to connect with individuals who shared my introspective nature. Accountants and bookkeepers perfectly align with these qualities. Now fully immersed in this realm that I skirted around for years, I help others embrace their inner world, where their true power resides! Stay tuned for more insights, advice, and anecdotes on unlocking the potential within you. ✨ #Accounting #Bookkeeping #InnerPower
