Connecting People within the world of Electronic Components

Struggling to source electronic components? You're not alone! 🌍🔍 In recent times, businesses across the UK and beyond have felt the pinch of global shortages in electronic components. Though we are not in the same situation as 2022/2023. There are a number of factors that still put strain on the Industry. 📈⏳ During 2023 Manufacturers had struggled to ramp up to the increased demand since Covid, though more facilities are being built and with that, then comes the need for skilled workers. Then there is the inevitable supply chain issues, that can be caused by an array of things out of our control. Port delays, Global events, even weather! But it's not all doom and gloom. Since the shortages over the last 2 years, OEMs and ODMs have adapted their strategies on acquiring components, for e.g. bulk-buying, which isn't usually best practice for just in time manufacturers, but will allow high volume parts to be purchased without worry of cost increases. 💡🤝 Though there is no way to completely mitigate a shortage there are ways to help get through it like employing PCB layout best practices to optimize design efficiency, only sourcing from trusted, reliable component distributors and performing simulations like thermal analysis to make sure the components required for manufacturing are needed on your design! 📣 And now, for a lighter note to end on: Did you know that British Tanks have the ability to make tea! They have a BV (boiling vessel) #Electronics #SupplyChain #BusinessResilience

Now on the fact of the day, I can promise you from my experience moral would not be lower if the ability to make tea/coffee was stopped! suddenly everyone was an electrician getting it fixed! Any other ex-forces I'm sure would whole-heartedly agree it was the most important part of the vehicle.
