In times of crisis, or where employees are struggling or unable to respond to pressing deadlines, it’s easy to resort to micro managing, we get it! But when micromanaging becomes the norm in your workplace, employee engagement comes under threat. You’ll very quickly see a decrease in motivation, enthusiasm and creativity if employees are constantly being corrected and/or given negative feedback, and, ultimately, retention and recruitment will suffer. The alternative to micro management is to empower, support and trust your people to work autonomously. We work with managers to help them adopt a coaching approach to management. Enabling their team members to solve their own challenges and hold them accountable to outcomes and objectives. Let us help you develop an action plan to trust and delegate more authority to your employees in return create a happier, more productive workplace for all. #hr #humanresourcesspecialist #humanresources

Team development is crucial for business growth. It goes beyond training programs to include fostering employee engagement. As a leader, meeting with your team collectively and one-on-one is essential. Understanding their emotional state, confidence levels, and addressing any questions or concerns is vital to ensure alignment and maintain high employee satisfaction. Unhappy teams are less effective and productive, leading to potential retention issues and a toxic work environment. Prioritize team development to drive success and maintain a positive workplace culture. #TeamDevelopment #EmployeeEngagement #BusinessGrowth #1010ManagementConsulting

Bosses, it's time to reevaluate how you recognize your teams! Far too often, I've seen hard work going unnoticed. This isn't just demoralizing; it's detrimental to your businesses. Running a company means understanding the simple truth: when people feel valued, they perform better. I'm tired of seeing talent fade because it isn't nurtured. Remember, small gestures of appreciation can lead to huge improvements in employee engagement and productivity, which in the end delivers better business results. Your teams are not just cogs in a machine—they're the heartbeat of your businesses. Show that you value them, and your business results will improve as well.

Employee engagement is crucial for organizational success, and measuring it requires specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Here are three essential KPIs for assessing employee engagement: Peer Recognition and Feedback: This KPI assesses the frequency and quality of peer-to-peer recognition and feedback within the organization. A high volume of positive peer interactions indicates a collaborative and engaged workforce. Training and Development Participation: Monitoring employee participation in training and development programs can be an indicator of their engagement. A high rate of employees actively seeking growth opportunities shows a commitment to personal and professional development. Absenteeism and Unscheduled Leave: High rates of absenteeism and unscheduled leave can suggest disengagement or burnout among employees. Tracking these metrics helps identify areas where employee well-being and engagement may need attention. These KPIs provide a comprehensive view of employee engagement and can guide organizations in creating a more supportive and engaged work environment. What am I missing? Would love to hear your thoughts. #employeeengagement #engagement #workplaceculture #KPI

Stop throwing spaghetti at the wall to improve employee engagement scores. For over 20 years, HR has battled the rhetoric around disengaged employees. What have we, as an HR field, done to rectify this? Everything. And, nothing. The needle hasn't moved. We've tried: 🍝 free meals 🍝 ping pong tables 🍝 no meeting Mondays 🍝 employee value props 🍝 employee resource groups 🍝 remote work arrangements 🍝 quarterly performance reviews There is nothing wrong with any of these endeavors. The efforts, though, are haphazard and, more importantly, misguided. Spaghetti at a wall. Employee engagement measures an employee's connection to their work. Some may call this passion. Connection can't be created from ping pong games and quarterly reviews. Connection is a concerted effort to promote a culture of respect, belonging, and trust. We have all the tools to improve engagement, we simply need to use them. ✅ Use multiple measures for engagement...eNPS, eSat, survey questions ✅ Start the employee experience during recruitment (hello, Candidate Decks) ✅ Reference company purpose and values frequently. Use to hire, fire, reward, and review. ✅ Train leaders on building a high-performing team (hello, #teamactualization) ✅ Delegate more (I promise, it isn't happening enough) ✅ Create individual career development plans ✅ Ask for, and listen to, employee feedback Improving company culture isn't rocket science; it is "simply" focusing on what matters to human beings. What advice do you have for improving engagement? What did I miss? #employeeengagement #hrtips #companyculture ------------ 𝗧𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗥 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗼𝗺𝗯𝘀: #️⃣ Follow our #TalentAlchemists hashtag 📰 Subscribe to our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/gXiaHNVH

Micromanagement is typically devoid of trust and entails intense monitoring and control of employee performance. It can increase output and reliability, but it can also be demotivating, restricting innovation and weakening trust. Micromanagement should be avoided by assigning roles, providing feedback, and establishing clear expectations. Building trust with employees and creating a healthy work environment can help a business prosper. This promotes a more productive workplace and increases employee engagement. #officeculture #employeeengagement #workplaceculture #workenvironment
