You can go to hell without moving an inch, just focus on what you lack. You can taste heaven without leaving earth, just rejoice in what you have.

Every day is a gift when I’m able to appreciate my blessings rather than dwell on my hardships.

Gratitude removes most shortcomings. If a man is content, he will not grieve by default. If there is no sadness, there is no mental illness. If there are no mental ones then there are no physical ones either. Then one can say that one is healthy. The most important thing is to get rid of: malice, greed, pride, ego, bad intentions, bad thoughts, boasting, etc. The more a person works on himself, the more beautiful, healthy and humane everything around him is.

Most things in life can be fixed with gratitude. Being grateful is a cheat sheet for happiness.

Some people fear gratitude because they worry they'll become complacent and not work toward their goals. 😰 It's the opposite. Negativity is a soul-killer and puts you in a never-ending spiral of stuck-ness. 😖 Gratitude leads to positivity leads to belief leads to action leads to... results 💥 😁

Revelations 3 states: 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. This principle of reaching hell by standing still rings true in an ever-evolving world. Especially working in the tech industry where many technologies reach obsolescence in a couple years or less. Doctrine and Covenants 46:7 ...doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving... 🙏

Option number one is: I will never be appreciative of anything life provides. Choice No. 2 is: I will always be appreciative of everything life has to offer. Because one can always beg for more, one will always be frustrated. Furthermore, our hopes and aspirations never cease. Thus, when one is unhappy, investigate and assess the unhappy state. We may choose how we want to live, and life will mirror back to us whether we want to be grateful or whine.

It takes a perspective shift to realize your expectations are not aligned with the outcome you are supposedly looking for.

Beautiful perspective. Striving for more is not the same as needing more. It's possible to both be happy with what you have as well as ambitious to accomplish...but expectations are a killer.

I guess where people see challenge is - you really have to desire what you want to achieve -> that can actually make you focus on what you lack! 💡 Savior is the frequent gratitude of what you have already achieved!

That's a nice perspective. If you focus on what you don't have, life can feel very hard. But if you enjoy and appreciate what you do have, life can feel wonderful.
