The Logic is reporting that both the BDC and PitchBook have estimated that the amount of "dry power" in Canada peaked in 2022 and is now declining. Dry powder is the difference between how much money domestic funds VCs have raised and how much capital they have deployed. This metric gives insight into investor's ability to write cheques and suggests that VCs firms have not been able to raise new money after depleting their current cash reserves. The low amount of market exits for IPOs and the high valuations since 2021 mean less institutional funders are investing into startups and less VCs are cashing out on current investments. All in all, this metric signals another tough year for Canadian founders that are looking to raise money via VCs. #entrepreneurs #vcfunding #canada

Turn from a busy & frustrated professional to a thriving investor in the next 90 days | Invest with me to finally start creating financial freedom 🔥
This is the only way to approach investors successfully. In our journey, we've felt the pressure of trying to reach out to investors when the clock is running out of time. ⏰ Waiting until you've got a deal on the table can pile on the pressure for everyone involved. Rushed decisions rarely turn out well, which can make investors worried or hesitant, and that is not what we're aiming for. Here's the trick: → To nail down those investments, it's all about giving potential investors the lowdown well ahead of time. 📚 → Educate them on the perks and make them see what they stand to gain. 🖊️ This takes the edge off, builds trust, and makes decision-making smoother for everyone! For those diving into real estate syndication, learn our experience. → Start those conversations with investors early and let them know the value you're offering. It's the key to forging solid investment partnerships that run like a well-oiled machine 🤝

Some projects unknowingly chase off investors. I remember joining an AMA of a project, and ended up wasting my time. This is how some potential investors feel, when a project can't clearly communicate it's message. "Talking" and "communicating" are 2 very different things, dear Founders. From experience, these are your best bet for communicating value: ✓ How will your project change their life? ✓ How will it make their friends feel about them? ✓ How will it make their competition feel about them? When you communicate on these matrices, I guarantee you sales! People are always after what's in for them, so give them just that! E.g: “For every vested period, Brother BernardX protocol gives you a 350% return after 7 days, which helps you buy that dream house for your mum. Your friends will wonder what changed, but only you, will know. 😉” You see what I mean? {Follow Samuel Nssien for more hacks}

I always leave time at the end of a 1st call with a founder to walk through any questions they may have and share our timeline for investment. Here are a few of my favorite questions founders have asked me on calls the past few weeks 💭 ⤵️ 1. How would you describe us to your partners? → This question is a quick pulse check on whether I understand the business correctly and am using the best language to describe what is being built. 2. What do your founders like about working with you? → This question goes deeper than "What value can you provide?" It forced me to share examples of what founders like about myself and Redbud VC. 3. What info would be the most helpful for you as you move forward in diligence? → This question allowed me to ask for the info I needed right on the call instead of following up async. The founders get a picture of the aspects of thier company that I'd be digging into as well.

$5B+ raised | I help tech, healthcare & consumer founders raise Series A - IPO through dynamite pitches & capital raise coaching.
When someone says: "he's great at approaching investors cold" Here's what they really mean: 👉 "He doesn’t spam VCs" 👉 "He doesn’t ignore submission protocols" 👉 "He does his homework" 👉 "He doesn’t just reach out to everyone" 👉 "He tracks his conversations" 👉 "He ranks his investors by priority of approach" 👉 "He prefers video pitching" 👉 "He personalizes his emails" 👉 "He knows when to stop and ask for a meeting" 👉 "He sets appropriate expectations" 👉 "He respects the deal funnel" 👉 "He follows up consistently" "Cold investor outreach" isn't a thing. It's an aggregation of many things done extremely well. -- 👍 Like this? Give me your thumb ♻ Repost to share it with others! #investor #pitch #capitalraising #investment

Head of Business Development & Investor Relations for Cityfunds by Nada Finance || Revolutionizing Private Real Estate Investing through Technology
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀??? 💰 When evaluating an investment fund, don't underestimate the value of the community it fosters. For instance, our latest SEC-qualified offering, the Cityfunds Portfolio Fund, is exclusively available to accredited investors, with a minimum investment of $50,000 required. Limited to just 99 investors. As you can envision, our typical investor in the Portfolio Fund at Nada Inc. highly diversified across a range of assets, extending beyond real estate. They boast an extensive wealth of market insights, gained through personal experience as part-time investors, and hail from diverse industries such as Software Tech, Law, Healthcare, and more. I enjoy gaining these insights and sharing deal flow. Google is great but direct referrals from seasoned vets is 100X better If your goal is an extra $2, $4 or $10k per month through various passive investments, you want to join a community of folks just like you who are already doing that. I'm curious, Where do you currently get your deal flow? #investments #community #dealflow #passiveinvestments
