Reflecting on an Incredible Milestone! One year ago today, I had the privilege of completing a transformative Sports Marketing internship at Sony Sports Network under Sony Pictures Networks India. It was an exceptional journey of growth, learning, and professional development, and I am immensely grateful to have been guided by some remarkable mentors throughout this experience. 🚀 Special thanks to amit phalke for offering me this invaluable opportunity, which allowed me to delve into the dynamic world of Sports Marketing and hone my skills in the field. 🚀 Halfway Through My IPG Mediabrands Internship Journey! 🚀 Wow, time flies when you're having fun, and I can't believe it's already been half of my internship journey at Mediabrands with the amazing UM Australia team! From day one, I've been on a thrilling rollercoaster of learning and growth, and I couldn't be more grateful for the incredible opportunities I've had in the media industry. 😊 Here are some highlights of my journey so far: 🤝 Teamwork: I started this journey alongside Jack Keith and Serena Knight, and together, we've been diving deep into the world of strategy, creative connections, planning, and trading at UM agency. It's been an incredible learning experience! We've also gained skills in extracting insights, brainstorming effectively, doing research, asking clients valuable questions, crafting media plans and reports, and learning successful UM campaigns for Lion. 💡 Diverse exposure: My adventure didn't stop at UM. I've also had the chance to explore social, search, and programmatic at Reprise Digital - Australia and Matterkind. In particular, it was mind-blowing to learn how media space can be acquired by programmatic in less than 100 milliseconds. 🤝 Mentorship and Supportive Environment: My buddies at Mediabrands have been incredibly amazing and supportive. They've not only shared their industry insights but also their invaluable experiences, giving me a real taste of agency life. 🎓 Learning Opportunities: I've had the opportunities to shadow experts, attend enlightening lectures, and even attend partner meetings with media giants like JCDecaux Australia, QMS, and ARN. Those opportunities allowed me to learn about media partners' businesses, collaboration and the importance of building a strong relationship with media partners. 📊 Real-World Experience: Working on actual briefs from iconic brands like KitKat Chocolatory, Optus, and Spotify has been a dream come true. Applying what I've learned in strategy lectures to real-life situations has been incredibly rewarding. 🎉 Perks and Fun: It's not all work and no play at Mediabrands. We've enjoyed amazing perks, like bowling in the middle of a workday as a networking event and gifts from our clients! 🎳 🎁 🥪 Food Adventures: Lunch breaks with fellow interns and our relaxing moments in Prince Alfred Park across from the office have been some of the best times. Shoutout to City Edge for those delicious baguettes! 😋 📆 Exciting Future: As I look forward to the second half of my internship, I can't wait to dive even deeper into the media industry. Tomorrow, I'll be attending Pinterest Presents with other interns, and the excitement is real! 📌 The first half has been an amazing journey with experiences and opportunities, and I can't wait to see what the next chapter holds!

It was an incredible experience that allowed me to gain valuable skills and contribute to a brand I truly admire. During the internship, I tackled a range of projects that honed my strategic thinking and marketing execution abilities: 💡Launching MIRROR: I developed an integrated marketing plan and creative brief for lululemon's MIRROR at-home fitness platform. This involved crafting a strategy to raise awareness and connect MIRROR with lululemon's core community values. 💡Digital Innovation for Retail: I explored the impact of digital transformation on retail and created a concept for a new digital product or customer experience that could enhance the lululemon shopping experience. 💡Hyperlocal Marketing Power: I delved into the power of hyperlocal marketing, analyzing current lululemon ambassador profiles and developing hypothetical profiles for local ambassadors aligned with the brand's growth strategy. 💡Data-Driven Marketing Decisions: I learned the importance of data in marketing campaigns by calculating key metrics from a recent lululemon ambassador campaign and presenting my findings to the team. 💡This internship truly deepened my understanding of marketing within the athletic apparel industry. How I got into the internship at Unilever. 🥳 When I was studying to get my bachelor’s degree, I took part in a marketing case competition organized by Unilever in Russia. We were solving a real issue, which Unilever was facing back then. We had to find solutions to increase the sales of ice-cream on an online food delivery platform. 🍦 There were 11 teams and 5 participants per team. Each wanted to win! The prize was an internship at Unilever! It was challenging: Just getting into the competition felt like a job application. And then come up with the game-changing and yet viable solution to the case. We had only three hours to do it! 🥵 But this experience was a turning point in my entire career as a marketer. I was not theorizing. I was solving a real business case. And you know what? My team has won the competition. Unilever actually went on to implement our ideas. 🤩 Participation in that marketing case competition opened my eyes to the power of such events in enhancing marketing expertise of the students. This is exactly why we've included case competitions in our agency’s online course on social media marketing. We make it a priority to focus on creative solutions that deliver real outcomes: ✅ Whichever team wins the competition receives a job offer to work in our team. ✅ Our students receive an amazing opportunity to work with major brands, influencers, and companies right after finishing our course. ✅ And for our clients it's a chance to get innovative solutions for their real business problems. As a brand you’re meant to sell more than your product or services. You’re meant to sell emotional hints (connections) with your customers Apple Focuses on the experience and premium solitude with their sleek and innovative products. The Coca-Cola Company Creates a sense of happiness, togetherness, and nostalgia through its marketing. Nike Inspires emotions like motivation, achievement, and determination through its "Just Do It" campaign. The Walt Disney Company Evokes a wide range of emotions, from joy and wonder to nostalgia and sentimentality. What better means of learning is there than through hands-on experience? That's why I actively engage in a virtual internship to stay well-informed about the latest industry trends. 📈 I am happy to share that I recently completed the virtual internship with lululemon in partnership with Forage. ✅ During this experience, I gained valuable insights in several important aspects of omnichannel marketing. To begin with, I created an integrated marketing plan and creative brief for promoting MIRROR, lululemon's at-home fitness platform, with the aim of increasing product awareness and reinforcing its core values  amongst their established community of customers. Then, I conceptualised a digital product to enhance their overall customer experience for both in store and online shopping. Additionally, I reviewed the profiles of lululemon’s current global ambassadors and identified hyperlocal ambassadors to further their reach within local communities. Lastly, I analysed and calculated the key marketing metrics on data from a recent lululemon ambassador campaign and presented my findings and suggestions to the manager. This internship allowed me to refine my skills in critical marketing areas, including creative thinking, market research, product development, strategic planning, data analytics, and written and verbal communication. Most importantly, it provided me with valuable insights into industry practices and trends that I believe will greatly benefit my future marketing endeavours.
