We had a great turnout for the first Walkable Wednesday of 2024 at the new mixed-use development, The Highland. Austin Dent and Matt G. Knight personally guided us through the project, showcasing their beautiful new office space and hub for J Development. We enjoyed experiencing the many amenities that the residents of The Highland have access to, featuring a basketball court, pickleball court, dog run, gym, and outdoor lounge. The tour wrapped up with networking, lunch, and some spirited foosball action in the clubroom! Big thanks to the ULI Utah Young Leaders for putting on a great event and to J Development for graciously hosting our group and treating us to lunch. Can't wait for the next one! #uli

We're so excited to show you a sneak peek of what's to come on the Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center project in Allen, Texas. Scheduled to open later this fall, the new center features multiple indoor sport courts, an indoor play space, an indoor walk, jog, and adventure track, weights and cardio areas, an outdoor fitness deck and group fitness spaces. Additionally, the community center will allow the City of Allen to offer space for classrooms and collaborative areas, a child watch area, cafe and catering kitchen. #APBuilds

URJA Town hall - 2023-24. One of the high points for me is celebrating the Annual Town-hall program with Team members. It gives me a lot of contentment to be able to bring everyone to this platform and make everyone feel part of something bigger than their defined job roles. The main motto of such program is to connect us all to a larger purpose i.e., being the best in what we do, adding value to our customers and above all, instilling a sense of pride within the team members. My belief in Team-work is stronger than ever. If harnessed well, we can keep increasing the scale of impact we bring to the society. In this age of volatility and technological advancement, strong values, culture, ethics are more important than ever. We need to trust each other more, prioritize values over short tem goals. It will not only create a better long-term future but also will be more fulfilling for oneself. Look forward to another exciting year ahead filled with challenges and overcoming them.

Mishawaka leaders are betting on big development with the construction of a 220,000-square-foot youth sports complex that has been years in the making. The $38 million Mishawaka Fieldhouse project is expected to house 10 multipurpose athletic courts and two turf fields, along with concessions, bleachers and space for a medical tent on the city’s north side near the Juday Creek Golf Course. When completed, developers estimate the facility could bring a total 1.5 million visitors annually and solve for a perennial problem in St. Joseph County: filling hotel beds during the week and the offseason for University of Notre Dame football. Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks on this step forward for the expansion of their community ice rink and practice facility at Fifth Third Arena. The Near West Side experiences a disproportionate rate of crashes and road deaths. We were pleased to make a number of recommendations to help improve safety, including a raised crosswalk, curb extensions, and pedestrian countdown timers. A new bus bulb on Jackson Blvd., improved wayfinding, and a real-time arrival board inside the arena will enhance the experience for transit users in the area. #TrafficEngineering #safety #transportation #design #Chicago
