Hey everyone! It's been about 6 months since I started doing proactive engagement for Semrush on LinkedIn. Here are some fresh insights (check part 1 in my ⭐ featured posts) ⏳ Timing is Key. Previously, I mentioned that commenting on viral posts is cool, but waiting too long (more than 6-8 hours) could dim your comment's shine. Well, I'd actually recommend commenting within the first 30 minutes of a post going up, especially if you see lots of comments already—otherwise, your comment might get buried. 👯 Engagement Amidst Crowds:. There are some creators whose posts receive tons of comments—like, a LOT. I recently commented on a post with nearly 1000 likes and 700 comments—crazy engagement, right? But even then, your comment can easily get lost in the shuffle. 💎 Hidden Gems. Don't hesitate to comment on posts from less popular creators if you see potential—they sometimes blow up unexpectedly, benefiting both the creator and your engagement. 🌴 Consistency Wins. Summer might be slow, but consistency pays off. Keep finding opportunities to comment—it's worth the effort. 📣 One last tip. Don't drop a comment and disappear—engage with replies for at least an hour afterward. It boosts your comment's visibility. Excited to chat more about it! Let's keep the conversation going. 💬 #Engagement #MarketingInsights #proactive #communitymanagement
This is really insightful, Victoria. Especially about interacting with lesser popular creators where not only can you get good exposure (your comment is not buried in the sea of comments) but also when the creator does blow up, you benefit from them as well.
I feel like being a marketer has affected my everyday life at this point lmaooo
Proactive engagement insights on point, Victoria! ⏳ Timing is everything in the LinkedIn game, and your tips on engagement amidst crowds are spot on. Consistency and interaction are key to standing out. Keep sharing these gems
That’s why ‘buy organic’ confuses me so much 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing your insights on the power of comments.
I swear! I always get some sort of "Fortunate Son" moment when talking with my mom about groceries.
Great advice Victoria I. Commenting after 2hrs of post. Let's see if this posts get viral or not😁 😁
Useful tips! 🙌 Social media are all about building relationships - writing a post and ignoring the comments underneath is a wasted opportunity.
I've always been a big fan of Semrush as a product and the comment game has been phenomenal. Thanks for sharing your pro tips!

2wI’d also add that those creators with that much engagement consistently are typically in engagement pods and not worth hanging around.
