DRR-Air Pollution Mitigation and Management-08: • For the first time pollution was shown as the cause of death in Death Certificate for Ms. Ila, a 9 year old kid in Britain. • Similar deaths are taking place in India. • We all need to combine our hands with the same objective to achieve healthy environment because that is our human right to live in a clean environment and we as an individual need to contribute significantly for the society. • We all together need to realize our responsibility towards society and our environment. • NGOs should work towards covering the gaps of government efforts. • Carrying capacity of environment should be taken care of. • We have to be vigilant, rise to the occasion and work before it is too late. #drr #airpollution

Air pollution poses serious threats to our constitutionally guaranteed rights. Article 30 of the Constitution of Nepal has the provisions of the Right to Clean Environment. "However, it is being violated due to poor implementation of the policies and plans."Article 30(1) stipulates, "Every citizen shall have the right to live in a clean and healthy environment." Similarly, Article 30(2) reads, "The victim shall have the right to obtain compensation, in accordance with law, for any damage caused by environmental pollution or degradation." #air #pollution #health #nepal #fundamentalrights
