Building a Global Village Within the Walls: The Social Life of Gated Communities in Vizag In recent years, the urban landscape of Visakhapatnam, affectionately known as Vizag, has been undergoing a remarkable transformation with the emergence of gated communities. These communities, characterized by their enclosed spaces, controlled entrances, and amenities within, have become not just a housing option but a lifestyle choice for many residents. The Rise of Gated Communities in Vizag: Vizag, a coastal city nestled between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal, has witnessed a surge in real estate development in recent decades. The proliferation of gated communities can be attributed to various factors such as increasing urbanization, rising incomes, and aspirations for a better quality of life. Creating Social Boundaries: While gated communities offer a sense of security and exclusivity, they also create social boundaries that define insiders and outsiders. The physical barriers, manned gates, and strict access control mechanisms not only serve to keep unwanted elements at bay but also reinforce a sense of belonging among residents. A Prototype of Diversity: Contrary to the perception of homogeneity, gated communities in Vizag are a microcosm of diversity, bringing together individuals from various cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds. Within the confines of these walls, residents form social connections based on shared interests, hobbies, and lifestyles rather than traditional markers of identity. Towards a Sustainable Future: As Vizag continues to grow and evolve, the role of gated communities in shaping its social landscape cannot be underestimated. However, the sustainability of this model hinges on striking a balance between exclusivity and inclusivity, security and openness, privacy and community. The social life of gated communities reflects the complex interplay of security, exclusivity, diversity, and technology. Beyond their physical walls, these enclaves serve as incubators of social connections, cultural exchange, and community building, offering residents a glimpse into the promise and challenges of urban living in the 21st century. #MKBuildersAndDevelopers #RealEstate #Vizag #VizagRealEstate #GatedCommunities #ResidentialProperty #LuxuryApartments #PremiumApartments

1M1B (1 Million for 1 Billion), Manav Subodh Naresh Tyagi Chhavi Kumar Wanna discuss how I went from the topic of development to the topic of half-filled glass, read below Today we went to the village called Sollepura. This was a developed village due to active help by organizations like ABFRL, 1M1B, and of course, government. So I would like to present my gratitude and thank them for these initiatives. But how Sollepura was a developed village. When we were in bus, we actually thought in our mind that what actually development is. We thought that it means having luxuries like Hi-Fi building with 10’s of floors, plain and smooth roads with technology all around, but we were proved wrong afterwards. None of them was in Sollepura, but still it was developed, because people there can complete their needs. WE can, EVERYONE can complete their needs and it is very easy, but it's not possible for people to complete their wants. Because want are literally UNLIMITED. Now let’s Understand what exactly is DEVELOPMENT. Does development means to have big buildings, Hi-Fi roads, robotic technology??? A big NOO, because development actually means that needs are completed, and everyone, from children to adults, from girls to boys, from merchants to farmers, EVERYONE is smiling😁. We were literally very happy to see people happy as their needs were actually completed. We are living in cities, with big houses, and good roads, and with more facilities than them, but still, we are sad, because our needs are completed, but we have wants which can never be completed. They don't have any wants, they have their needs, which are completed by the government and private industries. That's why they are really very happy. If they will gain want, then they will be sad and tensed just like us. So, developing doesn't mean development in technology or infrastructure it ACTUALLY & LITTERALY means development in happiness. We could say, going from S.Kurupatti to Sollepura, we have developed (Happiness increased), but then going from Sollepura to cities, we haven't developed. In fact, we went to the negative side of development. Because the people, instead of becoming more happier, became more sadder for not having the luxuries, which they don't have. So, let us understand with an example by assuming glass as needs and water as wants, The people of S.Kurupatti do not have a glass, so, they are sad. People of Sollepura are happy to have the glass. In fact, it's empty, but they believe that it has air filled in it (air is there HAPPINESS). They don't need water (wants). But as we go further in cities, the people are having more luxuries. Means they are having glass with half water filled in it. The water defines the luxuries. They are not happy to have a glass or to have 50 percent water in it, they are sad because they don’t have left over 50%. According to me, development means becoming more happy, not more luxurious.
