2 years ago, Shaul Kfir and Derek Henninger had an offer to me: "why don't you come lead the new Canton Network engineering team"? "What's the roadmap"? I asked. "We want a TestNet in a year, and a full go-live in two years". "These guys are nuts!" I thought to myself, "but what the heck, sounds like an adventure". Little did I know the secret ingredient: the amazing talent we have at Digital Asset, who made this a bit less nuts than it sounded. Lo and behold, 23 months later (a month to spare!), here we are, announcing the go-live of the Canton Network Global Synchronizer. A public-permissioned network that will completely transform the way regulated market players will run their business. Thanks to the whole team who made this a reality. This is of course just the start, I can't wait to see what we'll achieve together moving forward.
We are excited and proud to announce the go-live of the Global Synchronizer and to collaborate with The Linux Foundation to provide the Network’s governance. This is Day 1 of realizing the vision to create a global, open network like the Internet to unlock the potential of synchronized finance without compromising on privacy or control.
