What advice do you have for someone starting out as a summer intern in your industry? ✏️ This is the advice I gave to any young electrical engineering student I came and have contact with, that after completing any of your level it's very important to take an internship in your area of expertise, because it's always so advantageous on doing so, we as students we learn so many things in the four corners of the class room, but the real thing is always on sites or any other electrical practical implementing industry, Because, with that experience of dealing with the real electrical gadgets and components that you where been thought in the classroom, and the chance of meeting experts in that field, makes it feel more real, and building that confident in you being an engineer some day..

Building the Future of 5G: Key takeaway on My Internship at Best Group Construction As a Student Site Engineer at Best Group Construction, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the construction of ground-based stations for Netone and Huawei technologies, specifically focusing on those capable of utilizing cutting-edge 5G technology. This internship has been an invaluable experience, allowing me to gain hands-on experience, develop my engineering skills, and contribute to the advancement of telecommunications infrastructure. Building for the Future of Connectivity: One of the most exciting aspects of my internship was working on the construction of a 5G-ready ground-based station in Harare. This project involved collaborating with experienced engineers and technicians to lay the foundation, erect the tower, install state-of-the-art equipment, and ensure everything met the highest standards. Witnessing this station come to life and knowing it would play a crucial role in bringing 5G technology to the city was truly inspiring. Repurposing Infrastructure for 5G: Another highlight was the project where we repurposed an existing tower light in Dzivarasekwa (Wireless_N0018_Dzivarasekwa_Cres_TL) into a 5G booster. This involved adapting the existing structure to accommodate new equipment and ensuring it met the stringent requirements for 5G technology. It was fascinating to see how we could transform existing infrastructure into a valuable asset for the 5G rollout, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and resourcefulness. Construction Challenges and Solutions: *Construction Safety with Real-time Phone App: Maintaining a safe working environment was paramount throughout the internship. We implemented a real-time phone app that tracked worker safety, including reporting hazards, near misses, and compliance with safety protocols. This app provided valuable data and insights, allowing us to proactively address potential safety risks and ensure the well-being of our team. Collaboration and Learning: Throughout my internship, I had the privilege of working with a diverse team of professionals, from engineers and project managers to technicians and construction workers. This collaborative environment fostered a strong sense of teamwork and allowed me to learn from their vast experience and expertise. I gained invaluable insights into the complexities of project management, construction techniques, and the importance of effective communication. Looking Ahead: This internship has solidified my passion for civil engineering and the crucial role it plays in shaping our world. I am excited to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact on the world through the power of engineering. #BestGroupConstruction #Netone #HuaweiTechnologies #5GTechnology #Infrastructure #Collaboration #Innovation #Learning

An Architecture and Engineering Student at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center. Intern for Koberstein Contracting, Inc.
As I am now a few months into my internship, I can say I have learned a lot. The knowledge that has been provided to me during this internship is unforgettable and much appreciated! Here is a list of a few things I have learned: - How to set up, use, and properly layout a site using GPS equipment. (Pictured Below: 2 gate Values and a Tee) - How to correctly calibrate a site utilizing GPS equipment. - How to mathematically check interferences in new utilities with existing utilities. - A better understanding of plan reading. - How to wet tap a waterline, without shutting it down. - How to do topsoil cut and fill calculations. - A better understanding of how to correctly install utilities per an engineer's standards. #indianaCTE #internships #architecture @AsherAlden Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center #KobersteinContracting #careertecheducation @SICTCEngineering&ArchitectureAlumni J. Not always would we have two IK Academy training and a training ART by IK training at the same venue. These training sessions were: - Electrical Engineering for Non-Electrical Engineers (By IK Academy) - Training Needs Analysis (By training ART by IK) - Production Planning (By IK Academy) Teamwork is imperative to ensure all sessions are well-coordinated in order to maximise our participants’ working experience. As I train our interns, Hariz and Ida Shahira, while seeing our two banners propped up next to one another, I reflect on how far we’ve come as a company and I as an Event Manager. There is always room to fine-tune processes and innovate our approach in delivering the best for our clients. In the meantime, I am learning to celebrate the small wins we’ve achieved across the past decade and how to continuously improve for the future! P.S. There are #internshipopportunity open at IK Academy if you’re interested. Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions 😊 #training #trainingcoordination #eventmanagement #eventmanager #engineers #interns #internship #internshipopportunity
