It was a pleasure to represent Island Hospitality Management and the GBTA | Georgia Georgia Chapter as we engaged in lobbying efforts in Congress on crucial issues impacting the $421 billion business travel industry. Our discussions centered on the significance of legislation related to decarbonizing air travel and promoting sustainable aviation fuel as an advanced biofuel, which opens up greater production opportunities and garners focus from the USDA. We also addressed the visa backlog hindering international travelers from participating in conferences and meetings in the United States. Our interactions with Senators and Representatives revealed their supportive stance and eagerness to advance this bipartisan legislation. A heartfelt thank you to my dedicated colleagues at GBTA Georgia for their unwavering passion and commitment to advocating for the direct impact of business travel in the US. #GBTA #GBTA2024LegislativeSummit
