The total number of people forcibly displaced – both within countries and across borders – as a result of persecution, conflict, generalized violence, human rights violations or events seriously disturbing public order almost doubled over the past decade. 📈The number of forcibly displaced people has almost doubled in the past decade, soaring from 59.5 million in 2014 to a record 117.3 million by the end of 2023, which equates to 1 in 69 people globally. 🚨This staggering rise shows no signs of slowing down. 🔴Disturbingly, 40% of these individuals are children.
