Would you want your nurse, or that of your loved one, to have 3-4 total patients or 7-8? For each additional patient a nurse cares for, patient mortality increases by 7%. Even 1% is too much. Supply isn't a problem. The mismanagement of the nursing/healthcare workforce LONG before COVID is the problem - a SELF-CREATED problem. Safe ratios will attract nurses to the state.
