ISCC - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification’s Post

First ISCC Low LUC Risk Certificate goes to FS Fueling Sustainability! 👏   Based in Brazil, FS Fueling Sustainability produces bioethanol made from second-crop corn. The corn is grown on existing land after the primary soy crop has been harvested – an approach that comes with a two-fold benefit: it avoids displacement of the existing cultivation and prevents the use of additional land for agricultural production.   FS’ low-carbon bioethanol is suitable for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and can therefore help narrow the gap between SAF supply and demand.   This is a remarkable milestone, and we are delighted that FS Fueling Sustainability is the first one worldwide to receive our Low Land Use Change Risk (Low LUC) Certification. The certification is recognized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).   Their certification sets a great example for being at the forefront of innovative agricultural practices and supporting the sector in increasing SAF volumes.   Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/e5euD483   #ISCC #SAF #Bioethanol #LowLUC #ISCCCertification
