Around the world, there are many obstacles for humanitarian workers. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (#DRC), rainy weather makes the roads nearly impossible to travel. Despite this, displaced people and other vulnerable people remain in need of assistance. In moments like these, our teams are there to help. In the DRC and beyond, our teams are doing whatever it takes to reach communities in need.
As a former IMC logistics staff member, I used to deal with these situations on a regular basis in the Kimbi-Lulenge health zone in Fizi territory. It was a great honour for me to help save lives in this part of my country. Grateful
I have worked with IMC and I was leaving that obsetacles several times
Inland logistics in DRC can be extremely challenging especially during raining season. People sometimes underestimate what it takes to get life saving medicines delivered to the last mile. Amazing mission and great pictures !
