Social Media Intern @ If Not for Music | Incoming Social Media and Online Presence Intern for WCU Languages and Cultures Dept. | Social Media Marketing | Digital Public Relations
The Thing I Did Before Starting My INFM Internship --- After I received the offer for my current internship at If Not For Music, I was so excited!...but I knew I had to make a good impression. For a while though, since this was my first internship, I didn't exactly know how. I asked myself, what could I do that shows that I did my research on the organization? I knew that I would have to do my share of work in terms of a potential strategy plan that we would work with. So I decided to use a strategy I was taught years ago...the Strategic Marketing Steps process. It's basically an intensive 10-step auditing process analyzing an organization's audience, and my inputs on their current marketing strategy. From my analyses, INFM's marketing team and I echoes very similar sentiments: we all want to work on building basic awareness of our brand and establish a consistency on posting social media stuff! Keep in mind, I did this process as a first impression of INFM's social media efforts before my first impression with the marketing team 😉 I learned a lot more about INFM's strategy during our first meeting, and some of that information didn't necessarily match with my marketing audit, but that's okay by me! If there's something I would say to people figuring out how to make a good impression on their first internship, I would tell them, be sure you do your research, but don't be too hard on yourself if you don't have all the answers you need right away. Spicing up your Business English 🌶️ | Transforming German Leaders into Confident English Speakers | Speed Networking Host ⚡️ | Square Dancer & Dark Chocolate Enthusiast
Imagine getting an invitation to a super cool party called a 'hen night' (also known as a 'bachelorette party')—or as the Germans call it, the fabulous 'Junggesellinnenabschied'! 🎉 Curious to know more about this fun celebration? Let's explore together. So, is it a serene tea ceremony with friends or a wild night out? The truth is likely somewhere in between. Firstly, why 'hen night'? Well, hens are social birds, always sticking together—just like women on this special evening. And believe me, they can be as loud, if not louder, than their male counterparts! The 'hen night' is as exciting as the 'stag night' (the 'Junggesellenabschied'), and offers future brides a chance to celebrate with friends before they get married. Whether a day at the spa or a city adventure, a citywide scavenger hunt or a cosy park picnic, it's up to the ladies. Of course, there are trendy ideas to spice up the hen night. From pole dance classes to crafting workshops and luxurious getaways—the sky's the limit! But a 'hen night' isn't just about celebrating the last 'free' nights or cheering the future couple. It's about spending valuable time with friends and creating lasting memories. What hen night activities would you recommend for creating unforgettable memories? #EnglischLernen #SparksOfEnglish #LetsTalkBusiness

Are you feeling stuck, stale and stagnant in your business but don’t know what to do next? I can help you to gain true clarity, reignite your passion and remind you why you started your business. Message me now!💥
I’m back home after the most fabulous weekend at @latitudefest. The weather was not always kind to us, but that did not dampen our enthusiasm for the acts or for the whole experience, the first time we have both been to anything like that. So often in life we stay in the safe zone, we don’t want to try new things, we prefer to keep doing what we have always done. It’s less stressful that way. But where’s the fun in that?! By festivalling for the first time we saw some amazing acts - Pulp, James, Paul Heaton, The Mysterines and The Proclaimers. Oh and Keifer Sutherland and his band 😍 But we also saw some brilliant up and coming artists who we would probably never have come across - @redrumclub were a highlight for me. We opted out of camping which was clearly the right choice given the weather, so we were able to escape the weather and eat fish and chips in bed after showering off the mud. We walked so much each day, we ate and drank, we danced and laughed, we had four days just for us which we haven’t had in seven years. We’ve come home to a disheveled house (can’t teenagers use dishwashers?) but it’s ok. Will we do another festival? I reckon so! It can’t rain every time we are away, surely?! Try new things. Push yourself to do different stuff. Challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone. You never know, you might like it! 🎪 #thedreamtransitionmentor #lauracruisecoaching #femaleconfidenceandmindsetcoach #trysomethingnew #freedomflowfulfilmentfun

Technology was created to enhance our life and enjoy it. Why do people care so much about capturing a video of the Arc de Triomphe lighting up in a million colors and posting it on social media? Why do they prefer this over putting their phones away and cheer, hug, kiss and laugh with their friends/family? Imagine the following conversation: - Gustav: "so where did you spend NYE?" - Gregoire: "at Champs Elysées, it was awesome man, so many people, lights, colors, fireworks. Here... look at this video I capture" (... shows video) -Gustav: "that's fantastic. Who did you get to kiss or at least hug?" ** awkward silence ** -Gregoire: "... but look at the lights, breathtaking!!!" ** awkward silence ** It's genuinely sad to see this plethora of people putting social media front and center in their lives, rather than living the moment and sharing it with their loved ones. (PS: I made up the names, no reference to an actual person is being made...)

We (Humans) used to celebrate the New Year with hugs, kisses, sing songs, dancing and expressions of joy and celebration; now it seems we just video fireworks for clicks on Social like here in Paris (+-1 million people) on the Champs Elysees 🤷 So much for being present and living the moment; (fair play to the couple mid/bottom right for sharing an "old school" embrace and kiss 😊) I love technology and am a committed digital optimist; however, we may have to redefine what it is to be "Human."

Service Desk Analyst Bringing awareness to ✨Tourette’s, dissociative seizures, dyscalculia and much more✨ NEUROSPYS pod out now on Spotify
I like to look at things from a different lens’s are most know. For me technology brings people together, I record, my best friends record every moment of our interactions or when they see something cool because I suffered trauma/stress to my brain causing short term memory loss and my brain doesn’t connect feeling to memory. That’s why we take pictures and videos. People aren’t always able to be present for moments like the new years, their in hospital or going through something dark and that person experiencing the video/photo moments thinks of them in that moment. That’s why we take pictures and videos. Someone has social anxiety or has disabilities that prevents them from seeing it for themselves. That’s why we take videos. It’s not sad that we are so consumed with our phones, it’s sad that we get bashed and ashamed, like sending a message with a fat bird was more efficient, better and useful. We miss moments because we‘re too busy judging other people on how they chose to be in the moment and live their life, it’s not technologies fault.

From our latest blog entry: ⏩ Celebrate because … 🙂 What are we celebrating? In each minute, maybe in each second there is someone on this planet starting to celebrate. To celebrate what? Something that thousands or millions celebrates or something that only a few. Did you know, for example, that October 21st is the international day of the Nacho? Today is also 💎 International sloth day, 💎 Back To The Future day, 💎 Sweetest day, 💎 Count your buttons day, 💎 Bridge day, 💎 and Pumpkin cheesecake day. And that’s not all. ℹ If you want to find out what, where, why and how we celebrate today, while, unnoticeably improving your reading skill, and picking up some new words, click on our blog link: www.fastenglish.hu/blog 👍 Fast English Weekly Tips ⏩ #fastenglishweeklytips

To compensate for my deficit in traditional practices, my post on today's Mid-Autumn festival includes a lantern from the Lantern Festival (different festival altogether, that much I know). Here is the only remaining lantern I have - judging by how intricately it's made and painted, an amazing teacher did this for one of my children years ago (thank you). When I was young, on most Lantern Festivals (which is not today) my sisters and I sat on my grandpa's car waving our lanterns around in the dark night, sometimes getting eaten by mosquitoes. Grandma would tell us stories of days long gone - some stories were myths, but now and then there were excruciating recollections from WW2. It was during these and other celebrations that even as a child, I got a sense of what was important to them, how not to trigger certain memories and the lens through which they viewed the world. This was quite a revelation as my own experiences were vastly different. At work, my manager sometimes does this with our team (not WW2 recollections!). He gets us together during stressful periods to play games or simply talk about the history of the company and the good folks who have helped build it. Through these I like to think we have an appreciation for why certain things are the way they are, and to keep that in view even as we move forward with agility to meet the challenges of the present and future. We are not just what we see and do today, but in some sense we are a cumulative product of all those who have come before us. Happy Mid-Autumn. #history #culture #LSM #Leaderonomics #children
